He dropped Dan early with a head kick then some odd reason decided to wrestle the rest of the fight. It seemed like he wasn't confident in his stand up vs Dan or when he fought VitorFailed to finish him too.

Joe Riggs'esqueDidn't Rumble also fight Dan Hardy when he was at WW?
Just blows my mind that this dude has fought those guys and Andrei Arlovski at HW.
When GSP was on top, I thought Rumble was the Biggest threat for Georges.I’m talking about rumble
I think it would of been entertaining, I personally always felt mac Donald was his biggest test(along with big rigg and Lawler)When GSP was on top, I thought Rumble was the Biggest threat for Georges.

By far the most notable event in the fight. TS leaving this out of the recap = fishy af
Except he got outclassed by Alves & Ko’ed By Thiago
josh was in the pocket trading with him which is something nobody else has had the balls to doThe fight doesn’t really excite me. I think it’s either seeing if Kos will get the takedown or if Rumble lands a KO punch first. I don’t see anything else happening.
not even close to the most notable event in the fight. i actually completely forgot about the illegal knee, which btw had 0 influence on the outcome of the fight in anyway.By far the most notable event in the fight. TS leaving this out of the recap = fishy af
Totally agree and glad somebody mentioned it.this is one of the best non talked about fights ever. Anthony Johnson was in the middle of a three fight win streak consisting of all knockouts and was easily one of the most feared and turned down fighters on the roster. Koscheck stood in the pocket with him most of the fight and traded bombs, weathered the storm, grinded Anthony out and finished him. That performance alone made me a lifelong fan of Koscheck. that fight has got to be one of the most epic and gutsiest performances of all time IMO. thoughts??
He was pretty damn good. Great wrestling. Big power for WW. He was easily #2 guy at WW and probably would’ve defended multiple times had GSP not been around.
Rumble was MMA best shot at a legit triple champ
That KO by Thiago was nasty af, a really brutal koExcept he got outclassed by Alves & Ko’ed By Thiago
I know all this. One of the most dangerous though? Ehhhh...
You clearly are a Koscheck fan which is fine but it is clouding your judgment of this pretty standard fight. I disagree that it is an unsung classic and think that there have been many others like it. We have not, however, seen many other blatant attempts to get another fighter dq'd/have a point removed for a fake foul. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but that to me is way more notable than anything else in this fightnot even close to the most notable event in the fight. i actually completely forgot about the illegal knee, which btw had 0 influence on the outcome of the fight in anyway.
Crazier still is how Rumble can fight from 165 to 265 and only lose to RNCs.
Dudes chin must be so solid it makes it easy to lock on to his neck.
Nah I remember Kos being pressed hard by Helwani on what he said to Daley and he wouldn’t give it up he just said ‘something not very nice’Totally agree and glad somebody mentioned it.
Last time I heard Koscheck even mentioned was when I was foolish enough to visit the MMA reddit website and saw a video of Paul Daley trying to punch Koscheck after the bell and being disqualified.
All the comments were the same gossipy little bitches whining about how much of an asshole Koscheck was and that he uttered racial slang to Daley to wind him up. Probably bullshit as it wasn't proven, but the whiney little reddit bitches only need to read something they want to agree with to jump aboard the hate train on someone.
Josh Koscheck is a brilliant fighter and his dismantling of Rumble was a thing of beauty.
