"To be honest, it's been hell," Hill said in December. "You can ask my manager -- he's had a really hard time dealing with him. He doesn't get back to us a lot a lot on emails or phone calls or texts. When I speak with him, when I actually talk to him, he's actually fine - he's cool to sit down and talk, and everything's seems to be legit. It's just getting a hold of him and him getting back to us is an issue."
Since then, Abdelaziz parted ways with WSOF due to a possible conflict of interest with him managing a handful of WSOF fighters, and Hill now deals with President Ray Sefo and Vice President of Operations Kevin Alires. Hill says all is well in the communication department now, and he's very happy he no longer has to try to contact Abdelaziz.
"Dealing with Ali, it was very, very frustrating," Hill reiterated in a recent interview with The Parting Shot Podcast. "Especially when I [fought] Marlon, who is his manager, so that really threw a wrench in things and made things more difficult. And then just trying to get communication with him through my manager, not answering emails, phone calls, texts, just trying to get fights and be vocal.
"Ever since dealing with Ray, it's been a total 180. He's been awesome. Ray's a fighter too, so he can relate to us and he knows what we're going through. I've been dealing with Ray and Kevin, those are the two guys that me and my manager have been talking to. They call us, we call them the next day, they answer, right back-and-forth. Very respectful and good communication with those guys, so I'm really happy now talking with them."
