Bad match up for Ortega. Aldo dominates him.
 
Great fight for Jose on paper, unless Ortega pulls a new skillset out of his ass (which is a possibility).
 
Why should Ortega fight Aldo... he's not the one that couldn't make his title fight. He already got burned for it -- I doubt this is going to change his mind. He had to go through a bunch of people for his shot.

This. good for Aldo getting a win but I really hope Ortega does not fall for this bs. He needs to pull a Woodley and wait for Holloway.

Aldo would need to come out guns blazing and catch Ortega early... not very likely to work considering Ortega has a granite Mexican chin, super cardio, and a nasty pressure game. He gets stronger as the fight goes on.


That being said, Aldo’s paid his dues, he deserves to fight whomever he wants... Let him be FED to T-City.

Depends how long Max is out for. If it’s for the year Ortega better take a fight or he’ll be begging Dana for money again.

Huh? He has had 7 fights in the UFC...1 being a NC because he got caught cheating. He has 6 wins, and 2 of which are against top 10'ers. How did he have to go through "a bunch of people"? Am I missing something here? IMO, he should have to fight another top 10'er since he declined the last-minute replacement fight (Stephens) if Max is out long enough.
 
him finishing Frankie one time counts as a bunch of people as far as I'm concerned. In a title eliminator, when you finish a guy who has never been finished in a HOF career, you get to fight for the title. Not you get to be a last minute replacement or have to earn your spot again. It makes no sense.
 
Aldo destroys him until with 45 seconds left in the fight, Ortega puts him to sleep with a tornado kick or some shit.
 
you have the consensus GOAT FW and one of the best ever wanting to fight you. ur the new guard, go fight the old guard and prove yourself.

it would be disrespectful to deny aldo this challenge and would make ortega look wimpy to be honest
