”After the [Holloway] fight, I took some time for myself, to think and stay with my family,” Aldo told Combate. “Two weeks later, I met with my coaches, sat down with everyone. I asked what they thought, if it was time to stop or not. We decided to move forward. The next day I was in the gym.”

”I think I still have much wood to burn, full capacity to go there and fight for the title again,” Aldo said. “I still have four fights left in the contract. I want to do at least three this year. I want to get to the third fighting for the title, be champion again. Then, in the future, I think about retiring or not.”

ON HIS FIGHTING STYLE

"I can't run from it, my style has always been aggressive, I believe I made some mistakes in the past by not chasing it. I want to go back to my roots, I believe that's how I became champ. I'm training kickboxing everyday and I'll start kicking like I used to. You guys will see a much more aggressive Aldo"

ON BRIAN ORTEGA VS HOLLOWAY

"Brian has been growing a lot, he deserves this fight. However, Holloway is a great athlete, he is already used to everything. I don't think there is a favorite, it is a close fight on paper, let's see what happens. They are both great people and I'll be happy to see either of them as the champion. Career-wise, of course I would rather see Brian win, since I've already fought twice with Max - the path to the title would be shorter. I wish them good luck"

ON THE NEW FW BREED

"The division has been getting physically bigger, back in the day I used to think I was the biggest, nowadays I'm actually short for the weightclass, people are way taller. But I have an advantage: my reach is pretty good. I know I can hang in there with anyone, regardless of their size, so I'll leave that to the statistics - inside the Octagon we will chase ways to neutralize that"

Hungry Aldo could be the new Chuck with that look in his eyes.

Aldo is one of my all time favs, but I find this pretty hard to believe considering he hasn't done that in years, it's April 30th already, and he's had one foot out the door since he lost to Holloway.

"bring back low kicks" ... like when Ronin would tell he had been working on his striking b4 each fight... One TD later...

Will he be able to contain piss samples on top of that prolific,"to do" list?

hes a savage. gotta love scarface

sure, and i'm a tranny with big tits

He threw low kicks at Max and was aggressive

"Leg Kick Aldo" getting up there with "Motivated Penn" and "Sea Level Cain"

Unfortunately i don't think he's ever going to get back to being at the top. But bringing back the leg kicks will help his chances.

I'm gonna feel sad when Jeremy knocks his block off.
