News Jorge Masvidal Released From Active Roster due to Retirement

Couldn't have anything to do with the fact he retired eh?

Fuck this sport's media and fans are embarrassing.

Dana should now watch out when he is in public or he will experience the strange case of Leon Edwards

Shocking they would release him, especially when you consider he had already retired. :p

Come on Sherdog, give him the standard "he was never any good" sendoff because he lost some fights and didn't do well as he aged.

Not it wasn't, it was a blatantly avoided like the plague non-possibility. It would be more likely Conor faced an actual contender before getting a title shot than fighting someone like Jorge Masvidal...which would never happen either.

I thought Poirier and Mendes were actual contenders when they faced him.

His best fight in the UFC was literally that fluke knee on Ben Askren. Same guy that got KO'd by a youtuber.

That entire streak was solid. His victories over Ellenberger and that British guy were pretty notable at the time.

Edit: wasn't a streak. I forgot that Ellenberger and Cerrone were prior to the two losses. Anyway, he did OK in the UFC.

This is contrary to the UFC's policy of freezing the contracts of fighters who retire, so that they can't go elsewhere to make money. Good on Jorge.

His fight promotion feeds fighters to the UFC so there likely in business together in some way ...no one gets away that clean LOL...

Maybe a Diaz .. maybe

Ready for the Platinum Perry BK fight; see who gets the Cerebral Motherfucker Belt
