Indeed, Jon expresses no sympathy at all for the victim. What primarily bothers him is that (A) this person criticized him in the past, and (B) if he can be believed, this matters to Jon because he himself has daughters.

The driving force behind Jones's post was Jones. He is the center of his own universe. The biggest crime was not philia, which Jon has never once commented on. The biggest crime was criticizing Jones. And now, In Jones's world, justice has been served.

Seriously though.
I will say that I like that he openly says he hates the guy for it and the guy is lucky to not be living near Jon.

Mostly its good IMO with a "progressive" society where we forgive and act "civilized", we let the justice system handle dealing out punishment and so on.
In cases like this though, especially with the creep not even going to jail, I think open hatred being shown is good and I would be more likely to buy Jon a beer than rat on him if the creep did "live in Jons city" and I saw Jon dealing out some punishment.
