I'm not one to defend Jones' behavior HOWEVER: people aren't the totality of their negatives, right? I'm fuzzy on the details, and a drunken hit and run is pretty bad thing to do, but it isn't as if Jones looked for a pregnant woman to do it to. That was a happenstance detail because he could have done it to any of us. He's got a lot of positives out there, too. It's easier to ignore those but I try to take those in, too.
His overall disregard of other humans importance is alarming. Hopefully if he's sociopathic he's working on being a functioning member of society. If he isn't, he needs to steer clear of mind altering substances because either way he can't mix with those.
I don't know what my point is anymore. I guess my point is there's still hope for Jones to not be a net piece of shit. It's hard to root for someone's comeback when their "rock bottom" is millions of dollars, fame and notoriety higher than my life, but, I still try to.
