(Hypothetical of course) If Jones said he was ready to fight Ngannou soon would you have him leapfrog Gane for the big money fight with Francis? Or do you make Jones wait his turn and go with Gane? Big money or current rankings?
(I do think Gane vs Ngannou is a big money fight now but not as big as Jones vs Francis.)
 
Gane based on the last 3 fights of Jon's. Prime Jon vs Gane is the better question.
 
At this point in Jones career? There's very little reason for me to believe Jon could win. Prime JJ was a whole different story
 
While I don't disagree with Gane getting the shot I figured there would be some interest for Jon.

Jones will wait for the winner most likely, he earned it for his work as a lhw champion. Despite the countless asterisks that are associated with his career. His head movement has to be other worldly lol, and his foot movement on point to stand a decent chance.
 
jones never will fights hws......he will fight for the 205 belt next year, i'm sure.

I don't think Jones deserves that after all this shit, plus and imo more importantly, I wouldn't trust him to end up in the cage on fight night if they did sign that fight instead. Too much of a gamble and I would have much more faith in Gane making it to fight night. It would be quite the kick in the grapes if Jon got that fight and then played more stupid games. Guy hasn't fought in a long time and looked like a shitty version of himself his last couple. Can't stand guys that play the game for this long, it's like fuck em, they did it to themselves.
 
Really interesting fight, both have great fight IQ, this would be an amazing fight if it ever happen
 
I am sorry to say this about Gane but he is new money fuck. We where all talking about Ngannou vs JBJ since he won the belt. I say this as a fan HW has money behind it now make it happen and that is how it should be since Ali

Jones is the smartest fighter I've seen in mma of ALL time, I never doubt him the guy never lost.

HW can make Jones Grappling more lethal!!

Jones will gain more strength as an HW, if he can get that strength without losing speed it will be scary.
 
If I was a promoter? Jones.
 
Make the Gane vs. Ngannou fight.

Jones has done absolutely nothing at HW in the UFC to warrant him getting a title shot and nothing in the past couple years to deserve any favouritism.

IF Jones really does want to fight at HW, he will shit or get off the pot, but I really don't think he is going to enjoy running into either Gane or Ngannou.

Gane is good but we don't know his TDD level he only fought pure Strikers, Jones would test his defensive Wrestling.
 
I've been on the Jon train every fight except Shogun and the Rumble fight that got tossed.

I'd like to say that Jon would win but a part of me thinks we've finally found the person to beat Jon.
 
I can take or leave Jon Jones no problem. Gane's putting in the work. All I wanna see is Ngannou x Gane. Jones can stick to twitter.
 
Gane vs Jones is the best figth possible that could ever happen also Gane is a bigger stronger and better GSP
