I dont think he's going to retire
A guy like Conor is a fighter, and he is a winner
And I dont think he would want to go out on a loss

Hats off to him for standing up for what he believes is right, Business is Business.
He has respect for himself and his talents,
And fights like this will help fighters in the future

I'd rather watch jones at ufc 200 than conor. forgot jones had been at ufc 100 until they brought it up.

poor jake o'brien. he got beat by arlovski and cain. then he decided to drop to LHW so he wouldn't get cut and got matched up against jones

Standing up for what he believes in? Really?

Please someone set me straight if I am incorrect, but aren't these media obligations part of the contract that the the fighters sign? Why did he sign off on promoting the fight and then renege when called upon to do so? There is nothing heroic about going back on your word. A man should know that.

Jones should advise Conor, he's fighting smaller guys too, but nobody cares :D

Jon Jones is not only the best fighter in the world he's also funny.

doubtful that it's about media obligations...what Jon Jones is suggesting is that it\s likely about money...it makes the most sense anyway.

Well it's kind of the same thing then isn't it. He agreed to the terms of his contract and then reneged. What exactly is admirable about not keeping your word? I don't know, maybe I'm just too old school.

And if it is actually about money then why is Conor bringing up these media obligations? He has never been shy about talking about money before. In fact, he seems to get off on it.

well we've never heard from McGregor...the media obligations line was from the UFC. It makes no sense that someone like McGregor who seems to enjoy all the press stuff suddenly turns down media obligations...unless it was to get a better deal.

I'm not sure keeping one's word etc. is relevant at all when it comes to the UFC....it's business. McGregor likely wants more money and is going to hold off until he gets it.

"me and Conor are coke buddies"

It makes complete sense he doesnt want the media and nate in the same room with him. Lol.

Dont ya think?

Conors ego is huge. He cant take the heat of this shit. And knows it.

Apparently Jones respects Conor's balls

Jones never moved down in weight he never looks like he is going to die unlike conor

If he was afraid of that, why would he insist on a rematch to begin with? Especially since his coach and the UFC wanted him to defend the FW belt. Anyway, disappointed the press conference won't happen now...was looking forward to hearing Diaz.

From what we have seen with conor he is a here and now kinda guy. Its completely plausable to think he was so upset about losing to nate that he demanded the rematch without thinking of the media issues he was going to have with it.

Now that the media shit is here he is facing the reality that he will get torn limb from limb at the pressers.

So we're juding them different, because Conor suffers more to have that advantage? Not even mentioning the fact that Jones reach advantage is much bigger than Conor's.
