Jones is too muscular now to beat DC

Jones lost fat and gained more muscle mass. His bulk up isn't the result of 1 bulk alone but likely 2 or 3X with many cuts in between. Cormier said that Jones felt bigger and stronger then he expected (in their last fight). Well imagine how much stronger Jones is now. I think he will have an easier time manhandling Cormier. And in any case Greg Jackson will make sure that Jones is prepared for 5 rounds.

Jones only cuts about 10lbs of water weight. This was tweeted 8 weeks before he fought Glover.

This a picture of Jones 8 weeks before he fought OSP

This is a picture of Jones weigh in night for OSP and he's not sucked in at all

Here is a pick from fight night

He looks exactly the same in the weigh in's and on fight night. John Jones being a big 245lb LHW is just something for people to say to try and discredit him.

Where you have guys like Conor who look like this before and after a weight cut. Jones cuts 15 less pounds than McGregor and there is (normally) 3 weight classes between them.

He is bigger now he even said. He may not be heavier than anytime before but his body composition has changed. He has even said this. His past year or year and a half he has been hitting weights and done many cuts and bulks. There is more muscle mass on him surely and his body fat has gone down. I am sure he is benching and all around lifting more than he did before.

I think there is a factor in this fight that everyone is forgetting.

Jon Jones went through wars with Gus and DC. Chins weaken.

He will be more KO'able this time around.

It's been like that with every single fighter thus far.

The same goes for DC. Elbows from Jones, knees from Gus and flying from a right from rumble aren't good for his chin.

Jon said he's been cutting the muscle over the last couple months anyway. He claims to not have lifted weights this camp.

17:55 He stopped lifting weights after the OSP fight. And is overloading on endurance training to be slimmer and said it will show.

Thread is pointless.

Daniel Cormier
37yrs old
short
chubby

been spanked by daddy Jones before.

I don't see him winning this time tbh...

Tee hee...you should be locked up.

You're a thread murderer :)

Okay but it still doesn't undo his previous weight lifting. And he said in UFC, Jones & Cormier interview with Joe Rogan he said he was stronger than before. But yeah good point

That interview is months old. and was done in the lead up of the fight that got cancelled.

Well I certainly think his powerlifting routine was a silly diversion. I could not rule out the possibility of is having some value but it always struck me as counterproductive to MMA. I won't say it puts him outside the window for beating DC but I don't think it helped him.
