But seriously, one thing all the opponent talk about Jon Jones is how they weren't ready for him, how his reach was a weird thing to get used to...How they were bewildered by his style.



For the first time we were gonna see a rematch. A fighter who had fought him with coaches who would over analyze his style and break it down, to me that was the amazing thing about this fight.


Jon Jones no longer had that surprise advantage of a 6'4 guy with 84 inch reach...Cormier had already seen that, things would be much different.


IMO Cormier/AKA had figured out Jones, and Jones was gonna lose @ UFC 200.


The thing is that if Jon Jones is suspended for 2 years...Cormier is gonna be 39 years old, so the fight will be ruined.

Maybe so, but he still had no idea what to do against his reach in the slightest. Sure DC has a better idea of what Jon can do, but actually doing anything against it is a different story.

the first fight was much closer than people think. DC gassed. if he didn't he would have finished Jones 100%. He beat Jons ass in that second round but gassed.

True, only the losers of fights learn something.

Jones and his camp would have gained nothing from 25 mins. of seeing success from their body work, winning the wrestling exchanges, adapting to DC's clinch mid fight to take the advantage there, among other things. Hell, it's not like they could have taken all that and added new things to keep Cormier and AKA off-kilter to further tip the scales in their favor...

PEDs or not, Jones is the better fighter. It was clear the first time they fought. You could say the same thing for anybody fighting someone for the first time, the element of surprise will be there. But DC also trains with Rockhold who is a tall, lanky fighter himself. And with regards to adjustments that DC would have made in the second fight, you could argue that, being the better fighter with the better corner, Jones would have made even better adjustments.

Nah...Jones fucked up again. DC is the legit champion now and that is how it will be seen. DC doesn't need to wait for Jones anymore..the division will carry on without him
