Social Jon Stewart claims JK Rowling engaged in anti Semitic tropes in Harry Potter

I gave a quote earlier and posted the longer video of Jon stating his intentions. He did not say that to cancel her even to imply she had any malicious intent, he said it to encourage the conversations that I listed. The thread was made here so people could dishonestly interpret what he said so they could screech about cancel culture. If you want to denounce the virtue signaling SJW's on Twitter who are actually trying to cancel him, fine. But you're posting in the War Room, I think you should acknowledge the dishonesty of the people you're actually engaging with here.

People here and elsewhere misinterpreted Stewart's comments. In the original video he doesn't call her an Anti Semite, but people assumed he was, which is not unreasonable since he said the portrayal of the goblins mimicked old anti Semitic caricatures. He later released a video clarifying his position, explicitly stating he does not think she is anti Semitic.

The thread was made because Stewart is a well known political pundit / comedian, and various news media were reporting on it. Also, like Stewart I too noticed the Goblins' portral looked eerily like old anti Semitic caricatures but I didn't read / hear anyone else say this until Stewart's recent interview. When I read the news articles and watched the interview, it reminded me of what I thought way back when I watched the movie.
