Yes, talk is cheap. Do you know what else is also cheap? People's soap box style morals that come and go. If it was your unborn son and your wife/gf, and you had to decide JJ going to prison for 5 years, or receiving a 2 million dollar settlement to drop the case, your cheap ass song would be forever silenced. Just to clarify. The civil suit is completely separate from the criminal charge. It's not an either/or situation. The citizens have a right to be protected from reckless drivers regardless of who gets a settlement.

It's no joke. Comparing it to the other shit we hear everyday on the news, it really doesn't seem THAT serious. Nobody died. Not even close.
 
You may be right TS. ABQ is a corrupt hive of scum and villany. I wasn't aware of this specific blue on blue war but it definitely isn't going to contribute to speedy and efficient justice. Jones may get off as long as he keeps his head down and his nose clean while the powers that be implode.

Deserving or not I don't see him spending significant time in jail or most certainly not prison. He'll get probation, rehab, and community service if he gets anything at all. Then he'll volunteer for a few weeks at a women's shelter and donate a few bucks to a good cause. All will be forgiven, until the next time.

Hopefully he'll learn something, but addicts usually need to hit rock bottom before they really change. Some of them never change. Either way its amazing that he's been able to be so dominant while being hooked on booger sugar.

Just curious, does he have to kill someone before you get concerned? This isn't a one time thing, wouldn't you rather he gets some sort of punishment to deter his behavior before someone has to die?
