Victor Conte said that Jones's levels were obviously caused by steroid abuse while DC's were low, they were in the normal range.

A ton of athletes, including ones in other sports started testing positive for the same thing, with the same pulsing effect. It's assumed that it's some kind of supplemental or environmental contamination.

...but because it directly involved Jones, who has zero credibility from 100 other screw ups, everybody assumes that it's just some bullshit excuse.




None of this testing is foolproof, and the science of what acceptable limits are change over time.

Dude, fighters would be popping and pulsing all the time if that were the case. I am unaware of any athlete who has “pulsed” steroids for some insane amount of time other than Jon Jones. Even dudes like Barnett with a million PED failures don’t pulse. Jon Jones is pretty clearly a career cheat.

That event was changed because NSAC couldn't clear him in time cause everyone was away for the holidays. The same people who blocked UFC 232 had a hearing that found Jones innocent.

I understand that, and didn’t say that. The rule was changed back in 2019, but I really don’t like it. USADA always had the power to investigate, determine if a tainted supplement was used, and choose not to levy a punishment. Setting low thresholds that are always deemed acceptable is a bad look, it allows fighters to microcose to their hearts’ content, and also evade punishment if they are caught at the tail end of a cycle. USADA was a good step when the UFC first did it, but makes itself more and more of a joke by the day.

We can pretend there’s uses for. But letrozole is purely used to inhibit estrogen from steroid use. Clomid is used to restore testosterone production that was shut down from steroid use.

You can’t be so naive to think Jones has not only tested postive for steroids, he also tested positive for post cycle therapy drugs commonly used after steroid cycles and think well … maybe he was trying to have a kid

I believe that nearly all fighters use something, and no doubt Jone's was when he failed for Letrozole and Enclomiphene.
I just see so much dumb shit when it comes to drugs, the person I quoted said it was a female fertility drug. Not an aromatase inhibitor.
