After seeing Machida's 1st round performance against Jones, I wanted to really see Silva vs Jones. I'd still favor Jones and think that he would win, but it would have been fun to see.

Both Kos machida suffered in the hands of Jones and shogun was due to him coming in to deliver the straight left with his right hand down and head in the center line.

If he just kept his style and made these adjustments , he could have had a longer run at the top.

Instead he chose to become more aggressive and less patient which cost him multiple losses.

ironically these are things that his brother is now teaching at the machida academy, which are key to adopting karate to MMA.

Hope these guys pump out a lyoto v2 from their academy to compete in the UFC.
