Media Jon Jones thoughts on this Saturday’s main event

At this stage of Jon's career, with how mediocre he looked in his last few fights, and how slow he looks after bulking up "naturally", he'll lose to both of them

Also Gane is an A level athlete, while Jon is a C level

Gane can hoop. It's not just about height or even athleticism. Jones looks like he hasn't played ball all his life.

I like how jones' fans think that if he wins the title at HW that it somehow makes him the greatest of all time.... fighting at HW will be him finally fighting in his true weight class and winning one fight at HW, even if it is for a title, doesn't make you the greatest to ever do it. This isn't some "little Mac / Superpunchout" video game, this is real life. He's ducked guys his size or bigger his whole damned career and to manage to win one doesn't make him a great it just makes him normal.

You are quoting me as being a Jones fan when I’m honestly not even much of a fan of his. But I do recognize his skill and ability.

Jon should never have picked up his dribble so far from the basket. That's his main problem there. And Gane walked but he's obviously a better athlete.
Don't think Gane walked. Took two steps after picking up his dribble.
And I think Jones is right-handed. He tried dunking with his left hand and took off on his right foot (which was the right thing to do if you're actually a lefty)

from the media day stuff i heard from Dana and Gane it seems like they are wanting the next HW title fight to include jones. Its really up to jones to sign or not.

There are no other prospects at HW. between ngannou and gane the division has been cleared out. stipe and lewis need a couple wins before getting a TS.

Jon Jones is arguably already the Greatest Of All Time within the UFC. If he beats Francis or Gane at HW(two fighters who look like they could also be all time greats and already have impressive resume's) he is 100% the greatest UFC fighter of all time and arguably the greatest EVER.
That being said i think he probably loses to Francis and he definitely loses to Gane imo.

It is widely understood that the HW belt will be just the cherry on top of the cake. Jones has beaten a murderers' row at LHW, it is hard to argue that he doesn't have the best resume of all time

Finally! I hope Jones makes his return this year. I super dislike the guy but cannot deny his Octagon prowess. One in a generation.

Yes, I was already corrected on the walk.

A little hard to see the position of his feet and when he picks up the ball but I was probably wrong about that. You're right about Jon too. But TBF, if he practiced, he could probably dunk

When was the last time Jones "completely annihilated" someone? That's a rhetorical question; it was Gus in 2018. The same Gus who was then annihilated by Anthony Smith.

Many people think Jones lost to both Thiago and Reyes. It's hard to imagine that he'd struggle (and arguably lose) with those guys but go up and beat Francis or Gane.

Hard to go against the points you made

This, I really want him to take on the winner, I'd have him as favourite against Francis and pick em against Gane I think.

It's embarrassing to hear you talk about yourself in the third person but it is even more embarrassing that you are so proud of cutting 40lbs to fit into smaller shoes to fight smaller guys as if you are doing some great thing. You've ducked the real competition your whole life. It is why a guy like you couldn't even hold Fedor's jockstrap. He is much smaller than you but refused to be a chickenshit and cut 15-20lbs to face smaller guys. He wanted to face the biggest and best guys in the world to prove his skills but you've spent a lifetime ducking true competition and have become a weak keyboard warrior trying to talk yourself up. Let it go man, greatness isn't for everyone...

He's ducked guys his size or bigger his whole career. There is no way that he can be considered a "great" when we don't know how he would fair at HW, where he belongs.

Where he belongs ? Lmao that yellow card is fitting bro . Jones "belonged" at the division he can make weight at just like any other fighter, the fact that we may see him at HW is a treat for us fans.
If he does beat Francis or Gane he is 100% a canidate for the Greatest Of All Time(not just within the UFC but PERIOD.).
In less you stick your head in the sand and are unable to realize that greatness in MMA is defined by who you beat , who you lose too(if ever) and the context of said wins and loses(mostly defined by "is the losing fighter washed" and not PEDs, especially when competing in an era of complete and open PED use which frankly continues in a warped form today).
