Jon Jones reacts to Conor McGregor's loss at UFC 196: 'In a way, he won'

No Troll Jones
Sober Jones
Whatever it is, I like it.

"In a way he won"

In a way Jon Jones is a 5ft6 white man called Robert.

A rare moment of Jones being a decent human being. lol

You could say, in another way, he lost.

JBJ is winning me over as a fan. I beg to someone he demolishes DC.

I have to agree. McG took the loss like a champ. A stark contrast to the way Ronda handled hers.

Meanwhile Aldo made himself look like a whiny douche. I rooted for Aldo the first time he fought Conor, but now I hope Conor smokes him again

He went to the Ronda Rousey Institute for the Entitled Mentality

I would not say he won in any way, but I do respect the fact that he took a fight in a higher weight class and he does seem to take the loss well, probably because it is not his first.

any other statement by John "late replacement Chael is too risky" Jones would have been ridiculous

A rare moment of Jones being a decent human being. lol

I'll go amateur psychologist and say that this lends further credence to the idea that Jones will move up to challenge for the HW title. He saw something he admired in Conor's willingness to challenge himself beyond defending his FW belt.

In a much more significant and lasting way, he lost.
He lost like someone who didn't win, and the winning was done by someone named Nate Diaz, not from Ireland.

Big time he handled himself well at the post fight presser he showed up unlike Ronda, he didn't jump down reporters throats at every dumb question in fact answered them all in a very level way. He didn't cry like DC (DC= Default Champ) on that level I have real respect for the man, still think the floodgates are gonna open up on him now these mma guys are a quick study Conor was never a rubric's cube of mma just a man with very favorable match-ups.

In the long term, Conor won as well because now he's not being yapping his mouth about whooping champions in higher divisions. He knows now he ain't nearly as great as he pretended to be and his extreme fans now know the same thing. Conor can now focus on fucking up the FW division and making a good/great run at LW. Conor is money. As long as he keeps pulling the numbers he's pulling....he can still dictate who he fights and when. Dana and company are still there to do his bidding, lol.

Look at how they treat Ronda Rousey she gets her ass handed to her by Holly Holm and that somehow qualifies her for a title fight against an entirely different opponent. You know why??? RRR brings the money and masses not Meisha...same deal with Conor. When Dana was asked about what's next for Conor...he kowtows and says "It's up to him." Any other fighter....he will demand that Conor defend his belt.

Conor is still king of the UFC.

McGregor was one of the few people to give Jones some words of support after his incident. They've always got on well

Jon picked Nate to win, he knows the game.
He's been running the game for a long time.
Doesn't mean he can recognize Conor for the effort to elevate his status by moving up "1" weight class to take a new challenge.
