Jon Jones: my time at LHW is over

He really took his time to realize he wouldnt fight at 205 again...will he fight at HW tho?

The only explanation for him dipping out for 2 years of what’s left of his prime, is that he got suspended again secretly (Dana made it so they no longer announce them), or secretly retired to get out of drug testing so he can juice to bulk to HW without consequences. It’s pretty smart, the loopholes in the system are very apparent. How else can you explain it?

You are correct, but one of them sorta does. In 2018 USADA said they will no longer announce failed tests until the case is resolved. I dont think Dana did it, and if the "Jon Jones is serving a two year suspension" theory is correct, then the case would be resolved. They decided on a punishment and he's serving it so it would have gone public. However, Jones was tested 13 times by USADA in 2021, and once in 2022 so the "he retired so he doesn't have to get tested" is r worded.

He was tested 13 times in 2019, 25 times in 2020, 13 times in 2021, and 1 time so far in 2022. So your "he retired to get out of testing" makes total sense.

If jon jones tested positive but the test result hadn't been announced because he challenged it, there is no way the UFC would let that case linger in arbitration for 2 years. Jones gets put the front of the line and things, and it would've been settled and announced by now. So no, the "sort of" argument doesn't work here either.

Someone who took the belt when I was like 16 or 17, never lost and I am about to turn 30. Half or more of the site shit talks him for either steroids, which the upper half of the roster are almost all on, or criminal/personality shit which has nothing to do with what you are watching when he is fighting. You're watching someone fight whos career matches up only with the other 2 or 3 other goats... The same people saying they watch fights for fights and not for drama, are the some ones whining about the fact that one of the greatest combat sports competitors who ever lived is a wreckless sociopath outside of the ring... Fuck you think the other great warriors were like outside of combat throughout history? I hated Jones my whole MMA viewing life growing up. But as he ran through three generations of the best LHWs, I had to admit to myself he might be the best I've ever seen do it outside of Fedor/Anderson. Id say GSP also but finishes are very important in my book.
