The problem is that people are unwilling to discredit and move people down in lists as long as they keep winning, even if they are relatively unimpressive in victory.

Jones is essentially undefeated, but hasn't won a fight in a while, and looked pretty mortal against his last two opponents, even in wins.

You can't live off of old dominance forever. The longer ago it was, the less it should be weighted relative to more recent fight performances.
