Jon jones is p4p goat

Ryan Bader-um no......
Shogun Rua - big name, not so much in his prime anymore but still good
Rampage - big name, not so much in his prime anymore, heart not really there anymore either, decent fighter still.
Machida - Great fighter still just not good enough to seal the deal in championship fights.
Belfort - Sorry Belfort fans, I just dont see him being the great Vitor, still ripped jones arm off pretty much.
Sonnen - Great talker, decent fighter, top 5 maybe?
Evans - I guess you can say this is the only one I feel jones beat in their prime still, no finish however.

Gustafsson- very close fight, I love gustafsson, Jones won though, "debatable"

To get my GOAT VOTE he needs to do a little bit more. You know the first time he loses everyone will jump on the "hes overrated train" as always anyway

This make me laugh only delusional people think jones is "undefeated" is record clearly state he is 20-1 that second one stand for his LOSS . Jones lost because he was repeatedly breaking the rule (not the best rule IMO) but he still broke it . If eye pokes where against the rules then jones would be like 14-7 by now .

:icon_lol:

Jones has the belt and thats all us Jones disciples cares about. Jones won round 2-4-5 and Dana thinks Jones won. Only haters think Gus won, let me ask you a question. Are you a hater?

Nah Im okay with Jon I just think the fight was akin to GSP/Hendricks albeit less egregious.

Anderson is still P4P in my eyes, until Jones starts surpassing the records GSP and Anderson have set in the UFC.

You understand it good write up only diff tho Chael is a MW other then that spot on Most jones ball swingers just go off "name factor"

P4P greatest duck of all time maybe. He outweighs and outsizes almost all of his opponents. How can he even be considered in P4P discussions when Cain beats up guys 20-30lbs bigger than him?

Exactly and when jones got someone close to his size (Gus) he could barley handle him. And only just squeezed out a win.

That's funny citing the baldfather as a legit opinion of who won. His only concern is who he can milk the most cash from, and that's Jones.

The official record says a lOSS. As far as his skills go he has not been challenged until Gus. The Gus fight (although a win) challenged him much more than the Hamill fight.

sure it's a loss on his record but 12-6 or no, he would have still annihilated the legend that is Hamill. If you cannot understand that you most likely have not competed in sports and seen the bs politics that justify a "win" and at times does not make logical sense / prove who is the most dominant.

All of your argument is irrelevant when you stated his record states a loss . That's the whole point I know under what circumstances it was given in but it's there he lost due to rule breaking. A loss is a loss no matter how it came about .

Fedor Emelianenko
Wins over:
Big Nog x2
Cro Cop
Kevin Randleman
Mark Coleman

Undefeated for 10 years and was widely considered to be the best p4p fighter on the planet for years.

Anderson Silva
Wins over:
Hayato Sakurai
Rich Franklin x2
Nate Marquardt
Dan Henderson
Vitor Belfort
Yushin Okami
Chael Sonnen x2

Has the longest win streak in the UFC with 16, most finishes in the UFC with 14, most finishes in UFC title fights with 9, and the longest UFC title reign at 2457 days. Was widely considered to be the top p4p fighter in the world for at least the past 5 years.

Georges St. Pierre
Wins over:
Johny Hendricks
Nick Diaz
Carlos Condit
Matt Hughes x2
Jake Shields
BJ Penn x2
Jon Fitch
Sean Sherk

Most wins in UFC history with 19, avenged all his losses, and has the most title defences in WW history with 9. 9 is also the most consecutive title defences in UFC WW history.

It's a race between Bones, Spider and Rush imo. Even with the list you posted for Fedor you have the peak and an immediate drop off after Nog and Mirko.

The interesting thing is Jones is in a race with two guys who are basically at the twilight of their careers, if not completely over (I assume Georges retirement is permanent but he hasnt officially said anything). Jones has the opportunity to go several more years.

Hes still way behind the Machidas and Edgars, never mind the fedors and gsp. Id put him at 3rd on the list of best active fighters behind aldo and cain. Beating much smaller men doesnt make you a p4p legend, beating bigger men does

Ryan Bader
Shogun Rua
Rampage
Machida
Belfort
Sonnen
Almost all of those are natural MWs. Meanwhile Jones is a natural HW.

The only time he fought another natural HW, he got a put in the hospital. Coincidence?

Ryan Bader
Shogun Rua
Rampage
Machida
Belfort
Sonnen

all finishes

also has wins over

Evans

Gustafsson

Bader is a decent win but not that amazing, I would of mentioned Taxeria over bader myself

Shogun was waaay past his prime, shades of his former self..

Rampage ^

Machida great win

Belfort ^^

Sonnen has a kitten heart and has never been that good

Evans is a good win but again its undeniable he has lost a step

Gus beat jones.

Jones is great he has lots left to prove though..

He us up there, 3 or so more wins...then for sure the GOAT.
