Media Jon Jones dunks on Colby Covington for losing to Buckley

Not even sure what Jon is implying here. Does anyone really think Trump could have won without without the support of Colby "Chaos" Covington?
 
it’s pretty funny how little support colby has in the mma world. even scumbags like jon and chael and the laundry list of other dickheads that this sport produces have never alienated themselves the way colby has. probably his most unique and lasting achievement

Shogun could not run since the Griffin fight.

Good point.

But I think in Colby's case, he may possibly be a decent person playing a role, whereas Jon and Chael are legit scummy people pretending to be good or "christian"

Evidence suggests more-or-less the opposite. Colby has no friends in MMA and there are no fighters who sing his praises, but there are lot of fighters willing to back Jones and Sonnen or who would like to train or hang out with them. Not that fighters are the best judges of character, but when the people we know know Colby all want nothing to do with him except for Dana White, that says something.

You mean the same Shogun who beat Lyoto ? You are comparing that to Buckley. The same Buckley that was washed out of the MW division.

It was not prime shogun but the ran fine in the second Griffen fight

Yeah, the same Shogun

Mind you, the entire LHW division was washed when Shogun champ, including himself. A washed Shogun might be better than a prime Jiri,or Reyes, but its not like he's some super special obstacle nobody could beat. This is the exact same Shogun who struggled with a 45 year old Mark Coleman for fucks sake.

Buckley is not even in the same stratosphere as that UFC Shogun. That Shogun beat prime lyoto, this kid got run out of the MW division. I thnk he is a decent fighter but he is not on that level. What is Buckleys best win, who has he actually beaten ?

Shogun has always had issues with big wrestlers since pride. He lost to Coleman when he was in pride and got his arm broken. He would always struggle with someone like coleman and he beat him during that time. This kid was getting KOed by nobodies. Beating an old Colby does not make him a worldbeater or on the same level of that Shogun.

As bad as Jones is, DC said that Jones reached out to him personally when his parents passed away. It probably wasn't to get some fans cause Jones never talked about it himself and only Cormier did.
Meanwhile, talking about Matt Hughes' disability, Usman's dead coach watching from hell and the bit about Leon's father probably made everyone hate Colby by default.
Hell I think even Dana said it was a scummy move bringing up Leon's father like that.

His ability to move does not make him a better fighter than a superior fighter who is older. He got knocked out by Holland, Knocked out by Di Chirco in the first, Chris Curtis KOed him in the second.

He has beaten no one and has shown nothing to even be compared to Shogun in the UFC, even on two bad knees.

Conditioning, being able to react, and just being able to walk are pretty much a necessity in fighting.
