Ngannou had absolutely zero reason to duck Jon. He was the lesser star, the bigger man, and didnt have an undefeated streak to protect.

Jon had plenty of reason to duck Ngannou though. Namely to avoid having his "undefeated" aura ruined right at the end of his career by him getting decapitated.

But is what you just said true?

Come on, man.

I know my memory is stellar. A lot of folks in here know it too.

So, why would I know you hate GSP if you didn’t tell us that a couple hundred times?

Do I think GSP took peds = Clearly

Do I find his fights often boring = yes

Do I think he ducked Whittaker =clearly

Do I rate him number 2 p4p ever = yes , how many fights did he win without losing a round ?

Do I hate GSP = absolutely not

Blaydes is a big guy with an interesting skill set for a matchup with Jon. But every time he gets close to a championship fight he shits himself. Jon would rightly be a massive favorite in that fight, not that it even matters

How exactly do you imagine Ngannou was going to go to boxing if he was coming off a loss to Jones instead of being the lineal HW champion? Does that sound like an interesting side quest to Fury? Hell, even when Jones became HW champ instead Fury spent a few months talking about fighting Jones instead.

Not losing the belt was key to Ngannou's next plans, and Jon would've been his hardest opponent ever.

Not withstanding the fact that Francis and his team openly repeatedly said the reason they didn't re-sign with the UFC was because they wanted a contract that paid him championship pay even if he lost to Jones (and others), because that was going to be such a tough first fight and they didn't like their odds.

They were very worried about Jones, regardless of what TeenageMutantLesnarTurtle thinks.

Imagine seriously trying to push this narrative when we have just witnessed Jon duck the shit out of Tom as well.

It's so funny that Jon Jones now has the reputation for being a pussy..

Fans are such short-sighted dumbfucks

The guy ruled the UFC for 16.. SIXTEEN... years and never legitimately lost LMAO

you believe blaydes is an olympic caliber wrestler now do you
like aspinal? 🤣
Who did Jon beat at HW ? Ganes, with the takedown weakness. Stipe is retired. I mean at least Curtis is a big guy and legit HW fighter. I am not sold on Jon being really a top HW. Ok he did beat Gane. But that is one fight.
