U have a good point, i have a friend who says he is 6'6 and is quite sensitive about his height, when i met him i guessed he was 6'10 (im not sure hes really 6'6 to be honest hes VERY tall) and he corrected me quickly and was like "no way not 6'10!" I think hes sensitive because such height can cause health problems and shorten life expectancy, so at that point every extra inch is pretty much shortening ur life, ur time spent with ur family, wife, kids, etc so its actually quite a bad thing. Calling someone a giant is basically trash talking their life expectancy so i see ur point

Men love being called giants. Standing tall over the crowd and confident. 5'1-5'6 guys already cry themselves to sleep every night because they are so short. No, it;s not trash talking their life expectancy, couse it doesn't refer to their life expectancy in this context. The only thing "giant" means in the fight context, is that they are big, powerful and intimidating which are all positive, desirable traits in this buissnes. Migdget means they are small, puny and weak (compared to the rest of the roster), which are things that people don't like. That's why one term in this context is positive, and the other is deregatory. This isn't rocket science. Health problems that come with being freakishly tall, are completely outside the meaning of "Giant" as used by Anik in this situation.
