Jon Anik appreciation

Not really a fan but he's a good employee. He's always professional and does his job well, he's just a bit too bland for me

He isn't anything like Goldberg.

Maybe not as a person, as an commentator he definately tries very hard to sound like him. I'm sorry if you can't see that. These are the only two people aside from Yoda who would say something like "and he throws a series of frenetic jabs did Diaz"

That doesnt sound like anything Goldberg would say. He doesn't even know what a jab is.

I appreciate the fact that he is the worst commentator I have ever seen in this sport.

Don't like Anik.. Goldie then the British team.

I will "appreciate" it when he's gone. Is that what you were looking for, TS?

I’m a big mma fan too, but when you start nutriding people like Jon Anik or Ariel Helwani, you’re just a fucken geek and you need a girlfriend ASAP.

I have 0 appreciation for Jon Anik

At first I really wasn't digging Anik, but he grew on me, he's very good, his flow is one of the best out there. Thing is, not hard to be great when there's Big John McCarthy speaking gibberish at Bellator. He's SO bad. Personally I miss Brian Stann, imo he is/was the best fighter-turned-commentator.

I've warmed up to Anik. I originally couldn't stand him, now I'm just below fan level. Seems like an alright guy. I enjoy him off the cuff after the shows more so than during, but he's not bad at all. Gotten much much better.

I have also grown to really like Anik. He was on the Ryen Russillo podcast in October and in addition to talking about what was upcoming for the UFC also talked a bit about how he had grown into his role in the UFC. Sounded to me like he put a lot of work into it.

One thing he touched on was about their being no offseason. They broadcast 7 hours of coverage for each event, 26 fighters for each event, and he maybe works 5 events in 6 weeks. On top of that in the 8 years he's been on the job he went from having no kids to 3. When you think about it that way, he does a really good job imo.

I can give him the benefit of doubt that hes probably a decent stand up human being but as a commentator he bores the shit out of me

I've always liked Anik. If you dont think he's a hardcore mma fan, listen to his podcast. He likes shitty team sports too, but he's a die-hard mma fan.

Made his UFC debut same day Khabib did.. 8 Years ago! Sick guy i'm a fan.
