What is that? Did I inadvertently stumble into a WARRIORS reference?

Goddamm me. You know, chum, I haven't even picked up Brust's new one. It's just sitting on the bedside table.

That Jared Leto shit was fuckin awful! I like this, I hope it works out.

Alec Baldwin Drops Out of Warner Bros.' JOKER Origin Movie Due to "Scheduling Issues"

Alec Baldwin says he has dropped out of Joker, the standalone featuring the DC villain that is starring Joaquin Phoenix. "I'm no longer doing that movie," Baldwin told USA Today.

On Monday, news broke that Baldwin was in talks to play Thomas Wayne in Todd Phillips' Joker standalone movie.

In comic book lore, Thomas Wayne is a physician, philanthropist and father to Bruce Wayne (the future Batman). Sources told The Hollywood Reporter Monday that in a departure from the comics, the Joker script called for Thomas Wayne to be a cheesy and tanned businessman who is more in the mold of a 1980s Donald Trump.

Baldwin is citing "scheduling issues" as his reason for dropping out. But Wednesday he also addressed the new take on Wayne.

Baldwin, who recently earned a second Emmy nomination for playing Trump on Saturday Night Live, tweeted Wednesday that he had not "been hired to play a role in Todd Phillips’ JOKER as some Donald Trump manque. That is not happening."

Phoenix is playing the Joker, while other stars include Robert De Niro, Deadpool 2 breakout Zazie Beetz and Glow actor Marc Maron. The film is set to begin shooting in two weeks. Warner Bros. is due to open Joker on Oct. 4, 2019.

Would laugh if we see him in mcu

As movies go, it was pretty bad.

I enjoyed it, not going to lie, but it was a clumsy bit of cinema.

If you enjoyed the movie.... then "as movies go" it was a good movie. That's what movies are for... enjoyment. I saw thingz in that movie that I had to overlook... but that's not going to take away the enjoyment I got from the rest of it... the enjoyment I got from the cool characters & the movie as a whole.

I've tried to explain this before & I don't know if It's ever been heard, but this seemed like a good opportunity to say it again. I think you movie critics take a lot of things way too seriously & it leads to you over analyzing things to the point where it inhibits your experience of a movie... because you're too buzy analyzing it to take it for what it is. What you said here is a perfect example. You have gone so deep into the world of the critic that you forgot that "enjoying a movie" is what makes it a good movie. Damn the rest... imo

I think you movie critics take a lot of things way too seriously & it leads to you over analyzing things to the point where you likely get little real enjoyment from a movie because you're too buzy analyzing it. What you said here is a perfect example. You have gone so deep into the world of the critic that you forgot that "enjoying a movie" is what makes it a good movie. Damn the rest... imo

I enjoyed the film because it had some scenes I really liked.

Unfortunately it also had a lot of scenes I really didn't like, so as a whole I didn't think it was very good. If you have to "overlook" scenes, you probably shouldn't give a movie a very high rating.

Don't you think it's reasonable to say that a movie wasn't great but had some great scenes? Is that really overthinking things?

Let us be straight up real here. You came out & said the movie was "Really Bad." Not just bad... but "Really bad." Now you're saying you didn't think it was very good. You have gotten swept up in the flurry of the resistance to this film & are now exaggerating your very own point of view. You actually said you enjoyed it... so it couldn't be very bad. Do you see how you've been swept up in the crowd & are exaggerating about a movie you "enjoyed."

Yes, I agree that if I have to overlook a scenes that it is then moved from a 10 to a 9 right there. If I go from 9 to 8 it's not going to be just because there was a 2nd scene I had to overlook. At the point it's moved off of a perfect 10 I enter into an entire movie experience in which enjoyment of the movie trumps a couple of minor thingz that I thought could be better.

Almost all of the stuff I hear people bitch about this movie over, I disagree & have no problem with. I thought it was very clever & bar a couple thingz, it waz all that.

I'd just like to throw out here that the movie was a success & that the haters are once again just the annoying minority that keep pounding away until they're the only ones on social media talking about it & so it gives the illusion that their point of view is the popular vote.

That is not the case. That is NEVER the case with a movie that was a success. The real reality of it is that the hater agenda is to bash a movie & salivate over doing so. They love doing it so much that they get into a frenzy with their hater friends & they ping pong off of each other until the whole thing has become so exaggerated that there's no real reality in anything they say any more. I'm not saying you're doing that... but I'm just saying that the movie was a success because people who aren't so hypercritical have the ability to let their "science fiction" have a few "whatever'z" without it destroying their experience. The hypercritical armchair critics should consider doing the same.

I literally had a blast at the movie theater on first viewing & waz 9 all the way. Add in a couple more scenes that I didn't vibe so much after seeing it a couple more times & discussing it here with friends & I'll move it down to an 8... but the level of resistance this thing has gotten is way way over the top... & it's once again the 2 dozen haters who just flood social media with their hater agenda. The people who enjoy the movie just pop in, say they enjoyed it & then they split... while the hater post 40 timez a day for months & now years it seemz.

No, not at all. I don't care even a little bit what other people like. I thought The Dark Knight was junk, although Ledger was fantastic. The movie itself was terrible.

I don't have an agenda and look at movies differently from most people. I can enjoy parts of a movie but walk away thinking it was not very good.

A film is more than the sum of it's parts, but for me quite often it's a lot less. There were some great scenes in Suicide Squad, and I loved them, but it was a muddy mess and the story was terrible. I tried to watch it again but just couldn't do it. I couldn't even do it fast forwarding to the parts I liked.

My apologies for linking you in with the crowd, but are you sure you aren't exaggerating your point of view?

Corrupt government agent gets a squad of criminalz together to do a suicide mission. Come on man... that's some cool stuff. The witch wants to revive her brother & become the godz they once were. Not bad imo. Cool character interactionz in between... & we got a winner.

There was a time or 2 I can think of where the plot execution might had been a little weak, but over all I thought it was a very nice job.

I can agree with this. I personally just didn't like suicide squad at all. From the characters to the story and so on it just wasn't a good movie. It was actually the last time I would go to see a DC movie in theaters. I gave up DC after that movie when I knew I should have given up with BVS.

Did you forget an apostrophe T on your first sentence?

Without it, your post doesn't make sense cause you're going on like you CAN NOT agree with it.

What I meant to say is that I agree with you about enjoying movies and people over analyzing. As far as your opinion on the actual movie I completely disagree.

Ah... gotcha. I get people not liking it... and that's fine. I just clearly see that that there's an exaggeration going on about it. That's obvious. I'm not sure how anyone can't see that. There's actually an entire hater community that is being force fed the hater agenda.

Mr. Plinkett from Red Letter Media came right out & said it in one of his hater vidz. He layed out the entire hater agenda of today's social media & then proceeded with the rest of his video to do exactly what he exposed... (as a source of irony I suppose) & has done such ever since.

So I'm just pointing out that maybe a lot of people who "casually" didn't like it... were promoted to exaggerate what they were commenting on.

I always get a kick out of you white knighting bad movies. TLJ, and now Suicide Squad. Please, do Jaden Smith's "After Earth" next.

From now on I'm always going to get a kick out of the fact that your not smart enough to realize fooking Suicide Squad came first.

Obviously I knew which movie came out first. I just didn't see you defend it until now. With shadow priest gone, it's nice to know that there is still a fanatic with horrible taste in movies.

So you feel like the number 11 movie of all time did not suit you & I'm the only one on the other side? After 8 months most people who enjoyed it have come & gone while you & your hater circle jerk buddies jerk each other off to infinity... & you somehow now try to make it out like I'm the only fan of TLJ. That's delusional.

Same thing with Suicide Squad. More people enjoyed it than didn't. You ridiculously over-exaggerated haters just kept your circle jerk going while your mommy'z weren't looking & now you think your opinion is actually a majority. It is not. You are just the more loud annoying ones.
