Movies are being ruined because certain people with less talent get hired because they worship a certain magical sky fairy. Jaoquin is one the guy who played the flash is one guy who played Lex Luthor is one the guy that directed Justice league is one and the guy who ruined star wars is one as well as the ugly bad guy.
Plus jonah hill.............no more needs to be said.

What is happing is DC/Warner brothers are keeping the DCEU as their equivalent of the light hearted, child friendly, campy Marval movies for you pussies that keep crying over collateral damage and death in superhero movies, while they make new one shot, dark and gritty DC movies not connected to the DCEU and they will be labeled as DC Dark or DC Black movies. Real men are the target demographic of these DC Dark movies. So don’t bitch about how dark the movie is since you still have your light hearted DCEU movies.

I would have no problem with dc movies being dark if they were any fucking good. But they aren’t, they couldn’t make a decent BvS movie which are literally the two biggest names in comic books. Lol at real men being the target of these movies, whatever helps you sleep at night bud.

So wait, theres 2 joker movies now...wth, chrisevanslaugh.gif

WB just tryna cash grab despite fans aware of their inconsistency

They want a gritty crime drama they can sell with the Joker name, it's gonna end up being shit. The fact that they're still going forward with a Leto Joker movie too, is just insanity.

De Niro being eyed just screams "LOOK WE'RE MAKING A SERIOUS GANGSTER CRIME MOVIE, SEE." and if that's the case, it's just gonna feel like a Joker rip off when they isolate the story and make it grounded in reality. If they add enough comic book elements to make it feel like the Joker, it's not gonna play as a gritty crime drama.

DC is trying to have it's cake and eat it too, only it hasn't figured out what a cake is yet. And it's about to shove two rocks in it's mouth.

Good call, they realize they cant keep up with Marvel so they milk these cheap one offs by using DC characters.

Fkkin lol at WB
I'm never been a massive comic reader but for me DC characters always seemed like they were just so much better suited for individual franchises/films.

You know what, even MCU writers said it. Just because it worked for them doesnt mean it works for others.

DC on screen suits single franchise characters.

If, they got really deep and developed (plus contracted each actor) each character to the point were its getting stale, then maybe slowly connecting/expanding their universe may work.

This entire thing seems like a bad idea and another DC blunder in the works. They have no idea what people want.

I'm actually glad he didn't get it. Guy seems like he's to far off into his own world to stay committed to the MCU. Plus I enjoy the guy they got.
Im glad he didnt get the role of dr strange the guy who plays dr strange now is perfect for the role looks just like the comic book character

DC characters seem to exist more in individual environments and to focus more on interaction with villians. The focus on team films seems like it damages both of those, shoehorning everyone into a similar environment and leaving much less room for an antagonist in the plot.

One of their biggest weaknesses as well has surely been casting, Phoenix to me is the first casting in any DC film since perhaps Man of Steel(Crowe and Shannon) that really struck me as exellent right from the start.

That gif just spoiled a bit of Deadpool 2 to me. Love it by the way.
Anyway, I was just trolling. However, I do love the Dark Night trilogy, and Logan. I was afraid they were going to stop making super hero movies like that since the majority prefer Marval style type superhero movies. So I’m glad they are considering DC Dark label movies.

I enjoy dark movies as well, but they have to be done well. I loved Logan, never really got into Nolan’s Batman movies. I mean, Marvel has made some stinkers on the funny side

JOKER Origin Movie Officially a Go at Warner Bros. with Joaquin Phoenix to Star

The Joker origin movie is officially a go at Warner Bros. Joaquin Phoenix recently finalized his deal to star as the arch-nemesis of Batman and shooting is set to begin in September in New York.

Todd Phillips is directing the film and co-wrote the script, which the studio describes as being an “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.” Scott Silver co-wrote the script.

Warners has yet to stake out a release date for the film, which goes against the grain of most comic book movies that have flags planted years in advance. But the Joker stand-alone pic is meant to be different from other comic book superhero movies.

The project's budget is in the $55 million range, significantly lower than the tentpoles that dominate the form. And the stand-alone is meant to be darker and more experimental in tone and content (at least as experimental as a studio can be with established brands such as DC), which is described as being akin to a crime drama.

That said, there is a chance that the movie could be ready for release as early as late 2019, depending on various factors.

Warners has a possible second Joker movie in the works as Jared Leto, who played the character in Suicide Squad, now has his own solo film project in development.

Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Wolf of Wall Street) is producer on the Joker origin stand-alone, while Richard Baratta is an executive producer.

Phoenix, who won a best actor award at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival for Lynne Ramsey’s You Were Never Really Here, next stars in Gus Van Sant's Don’t Worry He Won’t Get Far on Foot, which opens Friday.

DC gonna DC.

Could be good but this is really a bad sign for the cohesiveness and lack of a clear direction for the DCEU.

Can't wait till it's 3 months apart from the other joker movie.
Or for another filmmaker to come in to the studio office and pitch his idea for a 3rd Joker movie set in the future.
