Media Johnny Walker decimates Ankalaev on Instagram

Ank is so fucking unlikable, keep him away from the belt.
 
After this, Anka Laev is on the list, Don't know anyone who is more unlikeable.

The audacity to even think he did something in the right and fighting a "clown"

The nerve to not accept HE was in the wrong, it was a blatant illegal knee.

The only CLOWN in this debacle was Ankalaev

Aljo was actively putting himself in that position and has continued to do it after that fight. He also was acting. We have seen him get hurt from strikes and it looks nothing like what he did from that knee. Still a DQ, but different to Walker using a legit strategy to stand up using the cage and just getting blasted in the head intentionally.

Aljo had one knee on the ground, both hands up and was just sitting in front of Yan in the middle of the cage. It was the 3rd or so time he ended up there and Yan landed a legal knee from that position earlier in the fight. Both should be DQ wins, but the Wlaker knee is much worse in terms of being illegal. At no point has there been any ambiguity about that position being illegal to knee from under the UFC ruleset.

couldnt be a more different situation - he wanted to fight, said he was in the desert because (surprise) mma fighters aren't exactly experts in world geography

Big difference. Aljo milked the foul. Johnny wanted to keep fighting but wasn't allowed for whatever reason. At least that's how I see it.

No he wasnt lol, Aljo milked it big time, fell over etc. Johnny was just taking his minutes never looked to not be able to continue.
 
Ank should have gotten a DQ loss but it was in fucking Abu Dhabi

i've seen people talk about him like he was some elite world beater, but to me if he even gets the title, he's going to be a transitional champion at best. he's dumb as hell and he doesn't have a giant athleticism gap between him and the rest of the LHWs to really even him out. i think he's mediocre at everything, but what puts him so high on the LHW rankings are 3 things: 1. LHW division is not good. 2. most LHWs are specialists and Ankalaev can do everything to a passable degree. 3. Ankalaev has good cardio and can push the pace.

so while i look at his individual skills as less than stellar i cannot help but admit that he has ALL the skills, mix that with his cardio and it's not surprising he's so highly ranked in this day and age, but i also wouldn't be talking him up either.
