It's the original Cobra Kai terror vs Karate's bad boy! They're fighting in a death match, Karate Kid II style. Who wins this one and why?

DISCUSS!

To answer my own question, I think Barnes is the ultimate karate bad ass. Johnny's great, but Barnes is like Johnny 2.0. If Johnny is Matt Hughes, Barnes is more like GSP. He's just too fast, to accurate, too powerful and too fucking scary.

Plus, you gotta remember that Johnny was just the king of his local karate tournament. Barnes was a national champion.

Johnny took a kick which there is no defense to the face. Barnes was frozen by a kata. Obviously Johnny is better.

Just kidding, Barnes was beating the shit out of SS4 Daniel-san. Barnes would do the same or worse to current 7-11 employee Johnny as well.

Barnes was a beast he could take Jonny and Daniel-san at the same time.

Barnes via more brutal training camps. Barnes is a "karate fighter" in the purest form, representing John Kreese and Terry Silver Karate philosophies. Fight to train and train to fight. This was a no brainer.

Yeah, Barnes totally would've won the KK III tournament if he hadn't fucked around and given up several points. He got cocky. He was beating the shit out of Daniel before that and totally brutalized him in all their street fights.

Even the movie writers were like, "Fuck, no way Daniel beats this guy, we gotta come up with some clever shit to get him the win in the tournament."

Pretty much this. Barnes was just a fucking animal who lived and breathed REAL karate.

Barnes via having no shred of decency in him. Pure evil.

Johnny at least had some degree of humanity and it made him weak. Not as weak as that nancy, Bobby, but still.

Barnes was a ringer from the whole country. Johnny was a local champion. Definitely Barnes.

A good question would be how would Clubber Lang do against the other Rocky opponents; Apollo Creed, Ivan Drago, and Tommy Gunn.

That IS a good question. He'd beat Gunn, have a close fight with Apollo and then become Drago's second murder.

Johnny loses to both Barnes and Chozen, so he's out of the conversation.

Barnes lost on points, that's all. Chozen would have murked Daniel-San had not Kumiko interfered.

Also, Chozen didn't have a full camp, otherwise he would have owned everyone in this discussion.
