Johnny Case vs Jake Matthews

Who ya got in this awesome LW scrap? 2 of the best up and comers in the division and the winner could possibly set himself up for a real nice fight.

Ill take Case either via decision or late finish but I'm not counting the Celtic Kid out one bit. This should be a very entertaining bout. I'm predicting it will be tomorrow nights FOTN

I'm leaning towards Case. I think he's the more complete fighter. Matthews is one hell of a grappler though.

Matthews just got guillotined by Vick, so I wouldn't say that a win here would set him up for a bigger fight, but he would be back on track.
Case is already a solid 4-0 in the UFC and hasn't even cracked the top-15, which just shows how stacked LW is.

Unless Matthews has made huge improvements since the Arreola fight, Case is much better on the feet (I don't know why I keep hearing that he's not very powerful, he's more of a volume striker but he's still got some nice pop). If Case can comfortably survive on the ground against Cabral, then I don't think Matthews will have much for him there either. If Jake can bull his way to a takedown, set up in guard and rain down some shots a la the Arreola fight, then he could get in work there, but Case's ground game > Arreola's.
Personally, I think Case has the cardio and the complete skill set to take a comfortable 30-27 or a late stoppage, either by GnP or a guillotine/RNC.

I think Case takes it. Dudes a total scrapper and good in all positions. Matthews is a good prospect as well but I don't think he's as polished at this point.
