Anybody ever see any of these? He was a real journalist (given all the talk the last couple days about Ariel Helwani in the trenches) back in the olden days. His investigative reports are pretty much all on YouTube. He particularly did some important stuff regarding Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge, but he covered all kinds of things with mini-documentaries - like colonialism in Australia, Thalidomide poisoning, etc...

Here's one...

Anyway, it's interesting to see these topics presented and covered at the time they occurred, rather than decades later.

I've never seen his documentaries but I enjoyed his book "Heroes". The sections of the Vietnam war and the Khmer Rouge and year zero we're outstanding.

It's been nearly 10 years since I read it but my favourite chapter was about the last day of Vietnam. He was at the US embassy as the NVA took Saigon and was on one the last helicopters out.
