´´Washington, May 5 (EFE) .- Republican Sen. John McCain, who suffers from aggressive brain cancer, has instructed his closest friends so that US President Donald Trump does not attend his funeral, and instead of Vice President Mike Pence will do it, The New York Times reported today.

The newspaper reported that McCain's family plans that the senator's funeral will take place at the National Cathedral in Washington when the legislator dies.´´

´WASHINGTON— People close to Sen. John McCain have told the White House that the ailing Arizona Republican does not want President Donald Trump to attend his funeral and would like Vice President Mike Pence to come instead, a source close to McCain confirmed to NBC News.

McCain, 81, has been battling an aggressive form of brain cancer for nearly a year and is back home in Arizona after he underwent surgery last month for an intestinal infection.

The senator, the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, said in an audio excerpt this week of his forthcoming memoir, "I don't know how much longer I'll be here," according to a clip aired by NPR.´´

Well I hope Trum attend his funerals anyway.

Whoaaah!!

That's pretty sad. As my family would say that's pure Irish malice. Can't even get over hard feelings at the end.

Coming from a man that has never found wholescale slaughter of innocent civilians he didn't support brush it off as the price of war, I'm not surprised.

How Bitter is McCain. Damn

All that talk from Trump not liking him for being captured really struck a nerve

a nerve in his arm.
Lol.

And to think before all that McCain was working behind the scenes trying to shop the Dossier

McCain is a snake. He likes to work behind the scenes and Trump hitting him face to face really rattled him.

People don't want people that they don't like/respect coming to their funeral. Likewise I don't think anyone wants their funerals used as political capital, as this would.

I see nothing wrong with this at all.

McCain is a snake.

What is wrong with Snakes ?????????

Also on topic, I always think that people who care about their funeral do not fully grasp the concept of death.
Not that there is anything wrong with that. I might change my opinion when I get older.

I have NEVER known someone in my life that specifically forbid someone from attending their funeral. And I've known a few angry people

U have to be childish type mad to request this

well Trump likes the Republicans that don't have braincancer

"His death is a yuge tragedy. John had the best death, great death. Trust me, I have friends, good friends, they know deaths."

If Trump went he would make it about himself anyway

The POW comment can never be forgiven by most POWs. I’m not surprised and I think it’s a good stand to take, everyone has to draw a line somewhere.

Didn't Trump abstain from attending Barbara Bushes funeral because he knew he would bring negativetity and politics with him?

I like how you strip him of this integrity.

But that's how you guys roll, in an alternate reality.

Epitaph will read

“John Mccain. Never a war he didn’t like.”

Would be funny if Melania shows up to sit next to Obama again.

Well, neither have I, but neither of us is famous. McCain, deserved or not, is a national hero to a lot of people, and probably realizes that Trump attending would be politicking and spotlight chasing.

I don't know. If so, I commend him for that. That is a show of self-awareness I have not yet seen from him.

I like how you strip him of this integrity.

You know, for a guy who constantly runs away and hides every time he's replied to on a substantive topic, and either says "you're not worth my time" or refuses to reply altogether, you sure do quote me a lot on gossip-type political news.

But that's how you roll, in a superficial and cowardly identity-based and celebrity-obsessed political world where actual policy is irrelevant.

I wonder how many funerals McCain caused with his warmongering.
