I fully expect those who were calling for Flynns head to be absolutely appalled and outraged by this. Flynn was the incoming national security and it was his job to talk to foriegn government's. Kerry's not even in office and he's meeting with everyone in the world about sanctions and nuclear deals overtly trying to undermine the US President and US foreign policy.

'He sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings...'

'Kerry also met last month with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and he’s been on the phone with top European Union official Federica Mogherini, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal the private meetings. Kerry has also met with French President Emmanuel Macron in both Paris and New York, conversing over the details of sanctions and regional nuclear threats in both French and English.'

TREASON

TCK do you actually feel this is treason? Or are you just trying to poke those on the left in the eye?

He can talk to who he wants but he has no government power and any promises he makes are bull shit.

Remember when Trump's team said they met with Russia to shoot shit about foreign relations matters when he was merely a nominee?

LOL.

Logan Act....LOL. That brings me back...to the 1800's.

Someone need to kick in Jimmy Carter's door for those visits to North Korea back in the 1980s. Traitor.

It could be he's being petty, or he could in all actuality believe his shtick.

With an idiot, there's no way to know for sure.

Well i do think it's a betrayal of the country and an attempt to undermine it. Can you make a case for why it shouldn't be considered such?

I don't really have an opinion to be honest. I'm kind of burnt out on political crap at the moment. Was just wondering if you were trying to make the argument that Flynn shouldn't have gotten in trouble or if Kerry should be in trouble. The biggest difference is Kerry has no political power and isn't coming into political power in near future.

Also, is the "Login Act" the one they passed to make it illegal for Hillary Clinton to keep logged into her email account when away from her computer, so as to prevent ISIS from reading her messages and making "I love black dick" Facebook statuses when she got up to use the shitter?

Is that what that is?

C'mon mayne...

Flynn did not doing anything he wasn't supposed outside of lying to the FBI. He was the incoming national security advisor. His phone call with the Russia ambassador was not a violation of the Logan Act...it was standard protocol. John Kerry on the other hand is not acting with any authority and is working with foreign govts to "put pressure" on Trump and undermine his administration. Flynn did nothing remotely in the same galaxy as that.

Exactly.

TREASON
I don't understand the argument that this is treason. Seems like a straightforward violation of the Logan Act. The Logan Act is bullshit though. Kerry isn't doing anything that should be illegal here imo.

Point to the part in the article that explains a promise or favor made on behalf of Kerry in the hopes of his future political appointment. You know, the part that would be necessary for this to be either comparable to Flynn, or an actual violation of the Logan Act.

Fuck you girls are desperate.

Exactly.

i definitely haven't been posting as much the last month or two. Lots of personal stuff in my life making me not care as much. I guess if you are wanting to pin me down on an answer, Kerry can't really take actions to enforce any promises, so it doesn't really matter. We are pretty much talking about calling it treason, for a US citizen to talk ideologically with foreign leader.

Because it’s not an attempt to defeat or undermine a measure it’s an attempt to preserve a currently existing one.

However I never thought any supposed violation of the Logan Act is a big deal. It’s BS to restrict a citizen’s ability to converse with a foreign government beyond, you know, actual treason like selling secrets or spying.

Didn't Carter have permission

Put it this way

If something comes out showing Mueller actually threatened Flynn with the Logan Act then there is no doubt Mueller is a political Hack

So besides supposedly lying to the Feds, what did Flynn do?

Correct. It's lame to call it treason. Be it Kerry or Flynn
