Kavanagh overestimated Thiago Santos and underestimated his own fighter in that fight. I really believe Johnny could have pulled off a win if he was more aggressive, are there any other instances of a team having so little faith in their fighter to the point where they tell them to just feint and point fight?

True but Walker needs a new coaching and a new camp because every time he lost it was his fight to lose

Kavanagh literally said Conor has more MMA knowledge than him and the rest of the SBG coaches combined. He's just Irish coach Edmund with a better hairline. Ireland will be erased from the global MMA map of relevance soon now that Conor is done, just like Canada did when GSP retired.

So connor should be coaching Johnny walker?

Okay, I'm not one to give Kavanaugh ANY credit, but you guys are failing to realise that the Walker who fought Spann like 5 months ago would have run in recklessly to a counter from Thiago and gotten flatlined in the first 2 minutes. I was actually highly impressed with how reserved he looked, and how much better his distance management and gameplan was. Kavanaugh is a shit coach, but in this one instance I think he has done a pretty good job. Now, not telling him to win the fifth round at all costs was absolutely stupid, and we should be hating on his cornering.

Obviously he turned Walker really fucking boring, which we as fans can hate, but for Walkers sake and his chin's sake, Kavanaugh has improved him by a metric fuckton.

Walker did whatever Kavanaugh told him to do. But though he was better evasive, but not offensive enough.

I agree with being impressed cause his aggression leaves his chin out there too much. I think he is one step away in finding his best approach.

Kavanagh - "ok johnny i want you to keep feinting. When bites on them i want you to feint the feint. I want him to believe you're thinking about throwing the feint out. Then we hit him with the big shot"

He just lost a decision to a washed up Santos

Santos is washed??!..

Since when?..

Walker needed to do more...but he went 5 rounds with a killer and survived and showed he could be relaxed in there...

IMO i think walker is in the wrong division...he should take his new game to HW....hes more then tall enough ..i think a more aggressive HW walker gets shit done at HW

Why did Walker ever have hype? He was never impressive lol just a few flashy finishes is enough to make someone a future GOAT in peoples eyes I guess

Was not impressed by his new style as it will not give him consistent wins at the highest level but I agree with the first part . The Spann fight was hilarious, walking forward with no defense while having a seemingly glass jaw .
