Yamamoto had been scheduled to face Chris Beal at UFC Ottawa on June 18th. The bout would have marked his first fight since a no contest against Roman Salazar in February of 2015. Yamamoto had been scheduled to face Matt Hobar in Japan last September, but the bout fell apart when both fighters withdrew due to injury.

Now it seems Yamamoto is injured again. The UFC announced via press release that Yamamoto has been pulled from his upcoming bout against Chris Beal in Ottawa, he will be replaced by Joe Soto.

Sad, Yamamoto is fun to watch...

He should retire tho, hasn't won a fight since may 2010...
wow that's not good...

with all the pull outs he should be called Kid (Brokeback Mountain) Yamamoto

Why is this guy still in the ufc? Hasn't he lost a ton of fights now? I don't understand why he's still here.

Hope Soto wins this.
And hope Kid eventually fights again and puts on a good fight on the UFC.

Yamamoto needs to retire. Guy hasn't looked good in a millennia

I remember Dana saying that fining guys that get injured is silly cuz they're already losing money. If they dont fight, they dont get paid. Makes sense, sure.

That understood, I've never seen one fighter talk about 'starving' because of being injured so much they can't work. Which makes me scratch my head because we already know they dont get paid well.

I really wanted Yamamoto to do well when he joined the UFC. Hasn't looked good for him though

They called me Kid Gorgeous. Later on, it was Kid Presentable. Then Kid Gruesome. And finally, Kid Yamamoto.

I'm not sure why they keep Kid around honestly.

There's not really much of a Japan scene to pander to, but Hunto and Barnett satisfy the Pride nostalgia pop and Horiguchi is actually good.
