Interesting discussion about Muay Thai in Thailand and martial arts discipline elsewhere around the world, starting at 39:00 of the video.

Surprised to see Joe Schilling woke up.

Good history lesson from Schilling, but Rogan's ignorance about kickfighting and insisting on throwing in references to it irks me. How is someone a fight commentator for close to two decades and still be so ignorant about a cousin sport?

Last Fight Companion was utterly unwatchable with him talking up Daniels and Thompson as being KB legends (while being completely ignorant of the fact that they've fought each other). Its as if he gets all his info from Lion Fight commentary and JWP instagram posts.

expected him to mention Jo Nattawut.

didn't left disappointed.

Kickboxing Legend Raymond Daniels On Preparing Rory For Wonderboy

Dude is clearly a legend!

Nah. One could be a huge fan of his and think he is the best eva I don't care too much. Still, a legend in the sport he is not.

Joe Rogan: Find a boxer with 90+ fights its pretty rare

Schilling: De La Hoya has 150 amateur fights.

Joe Rogan: Did he really? Wow.

Schilling: Yeah......

Any good highlight points?

Back in 2007, Daniels took on Thompson under the World Combat League in what as a battle of two of the best strikers in the world.

I've bitched elsewhere about the gall of calling Daniels vs Thompson in Superpants Team Bowlfighting Championships a battle of the two best strikers in the world (you know, in a year that featured Masato vs Buakaw II, Buakaw vs Petrosyan and Schilt vs Aerts III).

I have since calmed down on this particular topic as I found that Fightland was apparently a JV of the UFC and is effectively their mouthpiece glossed up by the VICE editorial team. Its not so much rampant ignorance as conflict of interest and that I can understand.

all Rogan analysis about kickboxing-muay thai made my ears depressed

that spinning back fist only took schilling chin with the glove, schilling always make excuses or crazy conspirations about his losses...

I have to ask... What's Jo Nattawut's story? I've seen him fight but was surprised that he's only had around 70 or so fights.

Probably not particularly accomplished but moved to the States and therefore fights in Lion Fight and therefore is great.

To be fair to Rogan not that many people follow competitive muay thai...that includes the muay thai community on reddit or most kickboxing and mma fans. He rates someone like Jo Nattuwat cause Lion Fight is the only muay thai promotion that you can watch on american tv I guess.... No one has explained to him how the muay thai scene works.

Really? Are we the only place on the internet that discusses it in English? Rogan has said he doesn't go on sherdog because there are too many dicks, so he may never learn much more.

That's just ignorant, you can say that about the heavies, but the KB & MT subforum + the

That's just ignorant, you can say that about the heavies, but the KB & MT subforum + Standup Technique are great places and have many really good posters. Joe really lacks basic MT knowledge and seems to be a bit ignorant when it comes to learning more about the sport.

that guy's videos are terrible and half the time he is wrong about what he is trying to explain.

Can you give me an example of a video that he explains something wrong? I actually usually like his video, just wish he would focus on other fighters then Buakaw.
