I’d agree that it’s a bad look and a bad decision of Joe to do what he did given his credentials but apparently dude was saying racist shit to the waitstaff there.. I completely agree about bouncers should be fired. Its like they just decided "damn, these guys are even bigger than me/us, guess I won't bother".

I've drank all over Toronto & the GTA, in general I avoid chains like BP, mostly because the food is so bad (I like to eat while I get my drink on). In my experience, in Toronto, usually only bars in the clubbing district or near there commonly employ security checking everyones ID. I find in midtown Toronto & North York, it is very uncommon, almost never, but YMMV

Yeah the further out or like less known/smaller size spots i guess i could see that.. But i never spent alot of time in places where security lacked lol .. Through my martial art training ive been taught to be really aware of my surroundings so i dont really put myself in situations where shit happens the best i can...shit happens though ive seen my fair share of bouncer scraps

Actually now that you mention smaller size, I think you're onto something. I tend not to go to chains & big establishments, usually they're more like independently owned neighbourhood bars, etc. They probably don't wanna spend the money or maybe they just can't afford it. People do get insanely stupid while drunk, my buddy tried to start a fight with a bouncer 1 time & I was practically begging the bouncer to not go after my buddy. Good thing the bouncer was a reasonable guy, he was well within his rights to beat the crap out of my buddy.
