Joe addresses UFC fighters complaining about how they are not making enough money and blame Dana. Joe mentioned how making money is not about the best skillset even though it should but its about how much interest you can generate from the crowd that they want to see you fight.

Rogan is friends with Dana... of course he is shilling for the UFC hard. Even the biggest draws like Conor get screwed because the % of the revenue is so small compared to other sports. Is Rogan too dumb to know this or is he just a shill?

i guess he knows since he's not the best podcaster but the most popular.

Floyd made money while being the best in boxing. Bullshit smoke argument Hogaine pulls out of his ass; if we talk about what sport can get you a lot of money by being the best, is another thing.

I mean, he’s not wrong. If just skills paid the bills then Mighty Mouse would have been making $120 million. A lot of people out there want to see characters and drama. It’s not enough just to be the best; you have to entertain as well.

Badminton and ping pong players make more money than ufc fighters

Rogan doesn't shill on his podcast. This doesn't benefit UFC at all talking about how Logan Paul makes that much money, or talking about Logan Paul period who isn't a UFC fighter. Also them talking about the highest paid fighters isn't the best fighters isn't a good look overall for UFC. Rogan isn't shilling, he's being candid with his thoughts. Rogan will shill on the broadcast during fights to help push or put more focus on a certain fighter, but in his podcast he is giving his honest opinion most of the time.

Joe is totally right. The fighters should have gone into the laborious task of being a commentator on mma cards, definitely the more difficult of the tasks.

Rogan is not wrong here

Dustin Poirier net worth: $4 to $6 million
Conor McGregor net worth: $120 million

A clear case of talking>>> skills in making money
Joe Rogan > Conor in wealth. Totally see your point. Sports should be irrelevant, or we should pay our other professional athletes the same as UFC fighters. Bring that bar down a level.

Edit: After thinking about this, I'd love to pay our professional NFL, NBA, NHL, etc, athletes the same. Fuck it. Make professional sports less appealing, and the idiots that care about sports will pay attention to the shitty world around them.

Its a popularity contest like everything else in life. More popular = More money but the actual competitive nature of fighting acts as a great equalizer. So the fame and the money of the popular contender tips over to less popular person if he wins.

For example when Woodley makes his ppv payday and knocks out Jake Paul. He will gain some extra fame at Jake Pauls expense and money too.

Woodley is not winning that lol, Jake will embarrass him

Im still perplexed. How can dustin even be worth 2 mil
Dustin probably has 10m or more. Jones claimed to make 5 million per fight and his ppv's were never big draws. Dustin vs Conor 3 did 1.8 million buys.
