Joe Rogan on Relationships

I have close friends who's children have been negatively affected by vaccines of the 1990's.

The fuck you do. Now you may know one person who's child got paralysis from the attenuated polio vaccine but the amount of those cases is so low that I doubt you even know someone who knows someone who knows someone who got it let alone know more than one.

I enjoy Joe as a "personality", I think he's a very interesting man and his podcast is great. But I never, ever found him funny. I can't think of one instance off-hand during his stand up or podcast where he actually made me laugh. He seems to be better suited as a set up guy for legit funnymen like Joey Diaz.

I love a few of his comedy bits. He often yells too much for my taste. I often find him hilarious in his podcast though and makes me laugh out loud

Trust me people

Lean back, light a blunt or hit a bowl, whatever's your fancy and watch this:

Not just his best work on stage but also one of my all time favorite comedy specials

I was shocked when i heard that Joe Rogan was a comedian. I then watched one of his stand-ups and thought he wasn't bad then realized that you don't need to be funny to be a comedian just smart enough to write stuff that you think would make a specific audience of people would laugh to and when to time a joke. It's an interesting sport.

not without being called stupid for believing those things

also youre really trying to sugarcoat his comments lol

I don't think being openminded and somewhat start believing shit contradicting the general consensus is being stupid, as long as you're willing to be proven wrong and change your mind. In fact that's probably closer to the opposite of being stupid.

I'm not sugarcoating; Rogan says a lot of stupid shit. I would certainly, too, if I had a 3 hour long podcast several times a week.

you just did

theres a difference between saying stupid shit, and delivering a very passionate rant and then vehemently defending it. the moon landing thing he wasnt even on his own show, it was someone elses and he had to be cutoff because he was ranting for too long

Again, Rogan isn't a scientist, he's not supposed to be all rational all the time. He's allowed to become emotionally invested in whatever he believes in at any given moment.

He's not your science teacher. He's your ordinary (somewhat) openminded, pretty intelligent dude that talks about shit with all kinds of different people. Some are science guys or girls, some are fighters, some are comedians.

I agree, to a point. Some topics have real world consequences and shouldn't be taken lightly.

again, not without being called a retard

The concerns about vaccines have been thoroughly debunked. There is absolutely no link between vaccines and autism. All of the bat shit crazy conspiracy is around it came from one study that was proven to be fraudulent. The author admitted this after being caught in a web of lies and deceit. Ingredient you mentioned hasn't even been used in nearly two decades.

Vaccines save lives...lives like my son's. In addition to inoculating people who receive them, we all benefit from herd immunity. If you receive a vaccination, but it doesn't work for you...you are still protected because everyone you inoculated. When we see outbreaks of diseases that were nearly irradiated in the US, it almost always occurs in areas with lower vaccination rates. It puts children and adults with compromised immune systems at risk. People like my child, with a complex heart defect.

So no, concerns about vaccines are not warranted...dude. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest otherwise. Just a bit of internet bro science and Dr. Oz sycophants.

To play devils advocate, the reason those ingredients haven't been used in two decades is because of the vigilance of these anti-vaxers. These were causing harm and they changed them. Blind acceptance is never good.

Sure! It's just that Rogan, obviously, isn't a retard. He might say retarded shit from time to time, but most people do. Hell, all people do, not least if they are making a living out of talking and engaging in conversation.

It was removed because it was no longer necessary due to advancements in development.

It also happened before the uprising of the anti-vax loons. The thoroughly debunked, fraudulent study was published in 1998 and didn't catch fire with the tin foil crowd for a while. The person behind it was barred from practicing medicine years later because of it. He was planning to profit from the scare it induced and the testing/screenings that might have resulted. He was a con artist and some people still haven't caught on.

<mma3>

I feel like an idiot for actually watching this crap.

Probably the first time I've laughed at Rogan's standup.
