Cruz is great at the telling what the fighters are doing and what they should do, but damn does he have an abrasive personality.

Cruz + Joe is bad combination. Joe + DC is my favorite.

Other than Kabib not getting hit over 25 minutes. Not taken down or threatened to be taken down & wasn't in danger for even one second of the entire fight in which he said he was dragging out to feel what it was like to go five rounds by landing jabs at will. Yeah it was a terrible performance.

Calling Khabib's striking amateurish was a ridiculous comment to make. He behaved like a sherdogger not a professional commentator.

I dont recall him saying Khabibs striking was amateurish, he called his head movement amateurish. Khabib doesnt have good head movement and his striking isnt that great. Even Khabibs corner were screaming that he shouldnt strike, Javier mendez looked pissed and even said to Khabib to go back to what he did in R1.

It would've been ok if Rogan said Khabib doesn't have the best striking (which is true), but the total contempt he showed for Khabib's striking skills were incongruous with the fact that Khabib was jabbing Iaquinta's face into a bloody mess. It made the comment seem completely ridiculous.

This is why I work hard at a 9-5, and found a way to teach at an mma gym in my free time.. so I can pay to attend fights live, or luck out and get free/discounted tix from the gym or fighters we have on the card, and not have to watch them on tv, and listen to bias commentary from non fighters, or fighters who have a vested interest in those fighting so their commentary becomes bias in the end. Rogan is a funny comedian and decent Martial Artist, but he's no mma fighter and his commentary fully displays that. Rather listen to DC and Felder during a fight if I am to watch it on tv.

I dont like how Jimmy Smith is interacting with the other commentators so far. He seems to try and do the color commentary to his own play by play. Rogan and others dont seem to get in their rhythm with him because he answers his own questions and adds his own color. Then will just stop talking for like 30 seconds.

Also, was Anik there the whole time saturday. It seemed like Joe and Jimmy were alone and not saying much then in the middle of one of the fights Anik popped up to help them out.
