So Joe is pretty polarizing, some hate him some love him. Personally I'm a massive fan. Been listening to him for years as commentator, and then fell in love with his podcast. Not only am I a fan of Joe as a podcast guy/commentator I also find him extremely inspiring. His work ethics and accomplishments cant be touched by 99.9999% of the population. Let me list some off the top of my head...

Most well known MMA commentator of all time
Fear Factor host for like 16 years
Creator of one of the most popular podcasts out today
High level comedian with his own special(s)
TKD national champion, twice I believe
Brown belt in BJJ

And a few other things here and there, like his company Onnit or whatever and Newsradio etc. I know it gets easier to accomplish things when you get rich and no longer have to stress about earning money but still. Most people would be considered extremely impressive if they accomplished just two things on that list

Can't lie there are definitely more than a few things that irk me about Rogan. I think he sometimes holds people to different standards and particularly has this habit of looking at whatever's newest as being the absolute greatest thing ever. For instance, when it comes to mma whoever the current top fighter is always seems to either be the greatest of all time or "has a strong case for being the greatest of all time." He also applies this logic to whatever diet, workout, etc he's just discovered. Show him some new diet, throw in a little science and it's just about guaranteed he's gonna feel better than he ever has while doing it.

Now all that said, the guy's work ethic and dedication is pretty fucking admirable. He's easily one of the best mma commentators of all time. And even though I was just kinda shit talking his podcast, but when it comes to eclectic guests and interesting/fun conversations idk if there's a better one out there. Pretty fucking crazy how diverse his career has been.

I thought he was a black belt in bjj

His accomplishments are once in human history level.

I think it's this characteristic of his that makes him a good podcast host because he is much more willing to entertain ideas/information from new guests. And why his interests are very diverse.

We will appreciate him when he's gone im sure

Onnit is a terrible, bullshit company.

Otherwise I agree.

He tends to be polarizing to people, but I really don’t love or hate him. I like him, think he’s funny, but not super funny, nor do I agree with many things he says which I believe are simply the result of lacking much of the correct information on some subjects. Yet, I think the conclusions he draws, given the information he has, are not only understandable, but pretty intelligent.

Oh, also, I thought Rogan obtained his black belt years ago. He's been a brown belt for a decade?

*Edit* Quick Google. Yeah, I knew that wasn't right.
