Joe Rogan is ballin hard!

Badass love the dishes, I like 80s-90s jdm cars as my favorite (have a 98 240) but also love old muscle cars, i don't know how any one who likes cars can't appreciate the 60-70 era muscle cars, I think most do. Don't listen to these plebs who know nothing about cars and probably drive a fucking hand me down camry from mommy

That's a great year for the 240, such a balanced performer too. I've always felt they had subtle hints of euro flair. I know a lot of guys seek them out to drop in the LS powerplant because they are such phenomenal handling cars. Hold onto it or you'll regret letting it go. So many I wish I had back. I'm hoping my next project will be a basket case 240/260Z to drop a turbo LS into. Nothing too radical, but I've adored the bodystyle of the early Z cars for many decades. I think I could make a really slick and sporty rocket out of it with the right setup. And it will be beautiful as well.

Everybody that thinks that this car sucks have a fucked up taste in cars. Watch the video that was posted here yesterday. This is a great ride.

Right on. We all had them or wanted them back in the day. Musclecars were the cars of our youth. I know that it may not be the same for the younger guys now, but take whatever you think is cool in cars now. That's the vibe those days give us. I hope you all feel the same nostalgia when you're a bit older. It's a great feeling. I'm still a car guy, but these take me back. Here's the wheels that inspired Joe's I would assume.

They're called centrelines...not sure what wheels sherdoggers want to see on a 60's muscle cars, I am guessing 20" chromies you'd see on an Escalade or something out of Fast n The Furious

I'm guessing some of those "Guidos" beat your ass a time or 20 growing up? You seem to have a grudge. :icon_chee

If you dig an inch or two deeper, you will find that those type of rims were used a lot on very fast race cars. You would see very fast cars at the drag strip running them, and drag racing used to be pretty popular with young men. It's more than some dumb racial stereotype.

I have a cousin Guido...
I went to school near Boston, lots of Guido's. They are proudly stereotypes. There were a lot of IROCS driven by people named Tony back in my day.

One of my best friends had a Camaro with those same Centerlines, I know what they are. Also had a friend with a Nova that had them. They were around 90 bucks each back then, cheap, that is why there were so many around.

Putting them on a classic Corvette body is stupid though, totally cheapens it.

Something that is close to what belongs on them?

My dad says the same thing, he wishes he never let his 69 dart go, ill never sell my 240! I love the datsun z cars as well, fucking ls in a z or 240 is so fucking bad, talk about a sleeper! If i had the mechanical ability i definitely would drop a LS1 in (cant make mounts or wire ecu :(), im happy with my 5 speed 150 hp atm haha!

I had a 72 240Z for a while, no floors at all, had some plywood in there.

I don't know shit about cars.
Those rims look like some shit I'd find
at a friends house & use as a surface
to twist a bone.

So, he's supposed to just go get some knock offs for his restomod because he has to take it back to original after he already bought it as a restomod he didn't completely love? Between you and LSU, claiming it'd be worth millions, like it's a survivor L88 or something, there are more shit head wanna be car geniuses on the internet than stars in the sky. Centerlines are a more than acceptable choice on this type of mod. When you do this type of car it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, which is why that idiot named LSU is such a dbag, acting as if Joe took a survivor out of a barn, washed it up and then did some mods. Which, even if he did find a 396 65 C2, it still wouldn't be worth "Millions". Based on your image and the link, it looks like you just googled "original 65 Corvette Rims" and then posted an image. Just about everyone in this thread is just so envious of Joe and the fact that he watches fights for free, makes great money, and can buy a dozen awesome cars, and make them into exactly what he wants. I can't even imagine how miserable people must be with their own lives to hate on someone so hard for doing well enough in life to have some nice things, whether they're all your taste or not, they are what he likes. Go google some more stuff to hate on people about that you know nothing of, other than you hate them having it and you not having it, so you bash it.

No, not knockoffs exactly but either wire wheels or mulitspokes of some sort would at least sort of fit the original design and era,,,, Not some cheap looking muscle car rims from a different age on a vintage Corvette....
The guy had put some 2007 or whatever stock Corvette rims on them, that was just wrong too.

If he put spinners on would you get upset if people said those looked stupid? How about some 20"ers?

If you can't handle people making comments about your good friend Joe's car maybe you should call him up and tell him not to post videos of it showing it off to people. People are allowed to have an opinion about cosmetic crap like rims, get over it.
