Joe Riggs looking like a beast lately!!!

2005 Riggs. He was Grade A, prime beefcake. No one is disputing that. He was a stallion. But 2019 Riggs...is in decline. Take a look at Paulo Costa here. That is a body that just won't quit. Now I bet if you pop those pants off, you're gunna find a bird that just won't quit either. I think the problem here is that Riggs's body quit. His bird quit. And unfortunately, it's no longer legit.

If your bird quit you ain't legit

I think Robbie is about to start a Condit phase if he keeps fighting. He wasn't the same against Woodley and looked terrible against RDA...and he got an ACL injury to boot. I think he and Condit's fight about 3 years ago was a twilight fight for both...like Chuck vs. Wand. He may prove me wrong, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Fair point and you may be correct.

The thing is you have some valid point but I feel that he is being lumped in with josh koscheck and Melvin guillard who can't win fights to save their lives. They lose to guys with no wikis and shit records.

But Riggs only loses to the best even now or kicks everyone's ass.

For sure. Robbie Lawler fizzled out in his first UFC stint and he made it back with vengeance. So did vitor. Riggs can comeback and be a solid contender.

Afterwards he became this: NoFap folks stay away!!!!!!

Butt cowboy? Do you drink Pinot Grigio and watch dance moms in your spare time?

Joe does look good he was never that explosive in the ufc with scrambles.

But lol that commentator sounded sad when that dan yates guy lost, he was praising dan all fight, and then sounded defeated at the end, i bet yates is the commentators buddy.

Lol couple of ding dongs. It could be that the commentator and Dan Yates are group of rich folks who one of them/Dan Yates happens to be a good fighter so they begin their fight promotion so they could set up favorable match ups for fast tracking towards man superstardom.

I know conors coach runs cage of truth promotion which is a good is a but not sure why he let Conor fight a sambo guy in a tiny space.

it's the quality of competition that you need to look at. he's doing his Dan Severn run right now in my opinion.

Dan Severn was beating lots of guys in his golden years too, because he was fighting regionals and beating up guys who were noobs that were never going to make it anyway.

nobody asked for Dan Severn to be brought back into the UFC because he was winning though.

He does? I mean he does have 27 wins by knockout but they are mostly tkos. I dont really remember his putting anyone out cold.

He likes ground and pound, so tkos are a by product of that. .. But some of his stoppages have been violent

His last fight was a loss to a dude named "Artem Frolov"

And no that's not an Artem Lobov joke, it actually happened lol

He injured himself so it should be no contest but he was in Russia so it is put down as loss unjustly.

Yeah but the opponent sounds like an off-brand version of Artem the GOAT

Also when are injuries ever declared NCs?

Ahh Joe Riggs. GOAT Journeyman for sure. His fight with Nick and Diego were fun to watch back in the day. Actually had a chance for the belt against Hughes but couldn't cut enough weight and Matt crushed him. He brought it, but never could over the hump in the UFC. But sure why not?

He had a fight were he injured his knee in Russia but other than that he has been winning every mma and bareknuckle box fight since his UFC loss to Chris. It was frustrating because he had an injury and couldn't back out. But now he is kicking ass outside of ufc and deserves another opportunity.

Edit:

Fucking stud!!!!

No. Joe Riggs was getting destroyed in the UFC. He's fighting old fighters/fighters with no viable future. It's easy to look like a beast against them.

I've just never seen Joe put ppl away or really damage them with a few punches he seems like a smasher rather than a power puncher.

He's fighting main event in my hometown, Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada on Friday night,...that's pretty awesome,...

Yeah.. As I mentioned he's no ko artist but the guy can fuck you up in close quarters and on the ground.. .Short powerful strikes.. Most effective on the ground.. He's kinda like your generalist.. No specialities in offence or difference just a strong guy with a well rounded game.. And lots of experience
