Not sure why people are hating so much on Joanna. Yeah, the boogey woman stuff was a bit cringey in hindsight but unlike Ronda, she didn't hide from her loss.

She went back to training to get better, made changes in her camp and didn't even demand an instant rematch. She said she'd fight as many fights as it took to get back to the title.

For me that's everything I want in a fighter and champion.

Her losing the belt was bad for WMMA.. it needs people like her and Cyborg (and even Ronda before she got mega-exposed) to look unbeatable so it seems like there's actually a skill gap. It's a bad look when someone can come in and smash the champion like that especially when that person has losses to people who couldn't beat the champ.

I wasnt looking past it just wondering how you felt about it since your boy shogun did in fact tap to strikes. The ref may have called it right before he did but he was going to tap either way. Shogun didn't want any more of Jones

It doesn't look bad when one considers the reality that Namajunas hasn't entered her prime yet and Joanna has been stagnant her entire UFC career (she's always done the same thing). It's only natural that Namajunas will improve with every fight and eventually close that gap.
