Here's the patented JW oblique kick being textbook countered:

Hard to see but Michelle kicked in between JJ's legs here. She was perfectly accurate but JJ had distracted Michelle with her hands and at the same time subtly angled her knee to prep for lateral movement and took one step left the moment the oblique kick came.

Perfection.

This was something I was worried about and was wondering how she would solve as it's a necessary tool to disarm to enact your own gameplan.

Something to study for ppl who face JW fighters that use oblique kicks like Jon Jones.
