“What I can say is it’s going to be bigger than my whole fight career. Only one night. Only one fight. It’s going to be bigger than 14 years of my fighting career. Mark my words.

I’m very confident. I just need to be patient and the queen is back.

If I won the fight with Rose Namajunas (at UFC 217), I was planning to move up because your body’s changing. It’s not that I’m eating too much. I eat very clean. I eat very healthy but your body’s changing. You’re getting older, your body’s changing.

It was my plan to move up but right now I must and I will get what belongs to me.”

My take: she's already said in other interviews that shes planning to retire soon and become a mother and potter around in the garden and all that. Rose broke her and is now going to despatch her into a full DNB. So talk is cheap, she has one foot out the door and can say this kind of thing without consequences. Still lowkey making excuses for her humbling, maybe thinking of some low ball opponents. Rose broke her heart and JJ knows damn well if she ever went to 125 there is a Bullet with her name on it waiting for her there.

Does the UFC have a flyweight women's division? I'm still not sure.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda.

It's easy to talk a big game.

I for one hope she does go to 125lbs after this fight, regardless of the outcome. I want #MyGirl Valentina to spank her something shocking. I want to taste the tears of the Joanna stans after it. Many of those dorks have a seething hatred for Valentina simply because she's a blemish on Joannas record.

The fact I had to argue at great length that Valentina would beat her ass is hilarious. As soon as Rose cracked Joannas chin suddenly everyone seen the light and now recognizes that she'd have no chance against Valentina.
