If memory serves, Olberman was being cheeky and contests he was doing that. It seems pretty obvious he was suggesting Trump be killed or something along those lines, so I agree that he said that and should be condemned for it. I think the same is true of Walz making a joke about Trump's health.

Kirk saying Biden should be executed for his crimes was not "better" than that.

I never much cared for him and assumed the market would eventually do what the market does.

I think Gutfeld is the least funny "comedian" on television but he has a huge market so his position is secure. A lot of people obviously like what he has to say.

Well this seems like a pretty silly take, because they aren't going to be saving any money. They're going to end up paying out his entire contract and then some, and Jimmy won't have to worry about doing the extremely laborious work of running a daily comedy show.

Fact is the FCC threatened actions against ABC for what Kimmel said. That is a blatant first amendment violation.

Do I think abc wants to get in good with the trump admin? Yes, being the "resistance" doesn't seem to be paying this time around. The self congratulatory late night left has been shedding audience and really isn't funny anymore. I brought up John Stewart's show, I used to watch a lifetime ago(Craig Kilborne), Stewart was real funny and in my opinion he got too big a head thinking he and his show could stop Bush. When he and other celebrities didn't, they fell apart, faced with their dwindling influence, then they got nasty.

I have a dark sense of humor and thick skin, what I can't take is being brow beaten with ham fisted repetitive monologues and lectures when I want to be entertained. There will never be another George Carlin but for the bulk of his career he could make you laugh while talking politics. I also think late night hosts suffer from overexposure, maybe the solution is like how they eventually brought Conan down to a half an hour.

Ultimately Kimmel is rich, he took his shot, he got pulled. He'll be fine. Abc will be fine
