Nobody here is saying that, though. As far as quoting him, it's pretty clear what his positions were on things. It's not ambiguous. It was his job to be provocative. He was smart and really good at it.
Again, watch everything in its entirety. He didn't even believe in race, he believed there were bigger issues besides skin color. His job wasn't to be provocative, it's only provocative to people who can't handle milque-toast evangelical Christian/Republican rhetoric. Which does have validity in it's assessment.
Some people suffered tremendously from his “teachings” and “arguments” and from similar public speeches and widely disseminated messages of people like CK. To be filled with a sense of relief and of peace after hearing of his passing is not the same thing as “celebrating a murder”. It’s important to understand the distinction.
No they didn't. This is hyperbole. If someone is suffering from some dude holding open debates and posting them online they are terminally ill. To quote the great Tyler the Creator:
Paul Pelosi isn't dead, and nobody in the thread "cheered" at all. There were plenty of people, including me, who said the information they were giving of him calmly referring to the guy as "a friend" who broke in unarmed and them both answering the door in their underwear with a drink in their hand, sounded a lot more like an invited guest than a home invasion. Police obviously thought the same based on them strolling up and just standing there.
I don’t know if arguing over “cheered” is worth it but there were plenty of jokes going on in there about it being his gay lover. Not just observations about how “weird” it was. Let’s say the whole ct he was having some affair wasn’t true for just a second. If so, we had some guy try to attack a high ranking politician in their house and when they failed, struck their husband with a hammer. Imagine if that was your family and people online decided to get around the political inconvenience of the situation (which in itself is stupid, just say the attacker is bad, he doesn’t represent the GOP, and move on) by making some ct about your husband having a gay affair and joking around about it. It’s much more fucked than what you’re presenting it as. And I’m not targeting you here as I don’t really remember you in the thread but I sure remember some bs jokes flying around while the guy was recovering from the attack.
I didn't take it as literally as you may have. I don't actually think all Democrats want to shoot people in the throat. I don't think that's what he was trying to say either, but I see your point.
He’s excusing the FCCs behavior because some POS killed Kirk and thus, democrats can’t complain or have less basis to complain about the FCC because that happened. That’s ridiculous reasoning.
Edit: mainly directing this at mark though. Not trying to argue multiple posts over a like as that would be mind numbing to deal with on my side explaining why I gave some and what for.
This is your opinion now. With a bit more education and empathy, you might not feel the same way. It would certainly be different if you were a woman, black, lesbian, trans, Muslim, a minority youth, or all of the above.
If you feel threatened or your way of life inconvenienced by progressive ideology now, as a white man; just imagine how threatened you might feel living as a minority in a constant cultural and political environment where an America misogynist bigot is popularized to the point of going viral and filling university stadiums.
Your advice is to just toughen up and look the other way but you can’t even stomach someone else talking about something as uncontroversial as equality.
@Croaker C'mon, man. Kirk was a gimmick. There was no "truth" to his schtick. Truth, whenever his pitch and the truth coincided, was purely coincidental.

No, this is fact. After this conversation, I, a normal functioning human being, will not have an emotional fit and do harm to someone or myself as a result.
I don't feel threatened, that's the thing. No matter how much stupid tranny propaganda, boys can get pregant and have vaginas, black people aren't responsible for their actions, or "undocumented citizens" bullshit you can throw at me, I will be fine. Because I'm not a moron. A misogynistic bigot didn't get popularized. A guy who thought traditional (and maybe in some ways out dated but there are a ton of arguments about this) values were more important to hold onto than what I previously stated was not threatening anyone.
Once you start treating people like equals instead of victims your entire premise falls apart.

I think he was fairly true to himself, I've seen him question things he believed in the past. Did he play it up sometimes for the audience? I'm sure. It's no different than Rachel Maddow, Don Lemon or Alex Jones. Are we to imply that Jones, Maddow, and Lemon are evil people? Rachel Maddow, maybe. Lemon is dipshit and Alex Jones... He's kinda retarded.
I don't give a shit about your quotes. Post the entire video of what he said for proper context. The video exists, I don't need a "trust me bro" citation from you. If he's said those things in earnest, then obviously it's not okay. That still doesn't mean he deserves to be shot or celebrated when killed.
- Ask about things you could find yourself but instead want to be mad, lazy and ignorant, and even when they are posted its just ignored with a shrug, or dont watch it and still say its out of context
- comment how "that doesn't mean he deserves to be shot or that people should celebrate his death" two stances that 99.9% of every poster including myself have expressed they agree with multiple times, but because there are random scumbags on the internet doing those things you want to saddle the entire left with that bs.

Good thing you didn't even watch the video. Talk about an oopsie.
The first clip isn't even referenced in the rest of it, and he's saying treason should result in execution. This used to be the standard, and while I don't agree with it, that's not a crazy take.
I noticed you had to add "but" when you've made it abundantly clear you dislike the guy. It's easy to group like minded sentiments together.
The clip from the mirror is also not the full context, and thinking Joe Biden should be put in prison is no different than lefties thinking Trump should be put in prison. So when you look at it objectively, you realize its the same shit and it becomes clear that this sentiment is normalized.
Its painfully obvious if anyone does the smallest bit of background checking on Kirk's statements or life he's not a racist or bigot. It's really just showing how ignorant you are if you have to keep bashing your head against the wall and can't take a step back and read whats on that wall. If Kirk actually did hateful or spiteful things there wouldn't be this weird but understandable reaction. Instead people are mad about mean words and things taken out of context. I didn't even know the guy but thanks to morons trying to paint him as evil I went and checked out more of his work. While I don't agree with some of it he came across as pretty even-keeled considering the shit he had to deal with.
Violence/Genocide: Do not condone violence or genocide on a person or group of people. You are free to attack a person or groups ideas but you are crossing the line when calling for violence. This will be heavily enforced in threads with breaking news involving victims.
