I don’t think it works. Sometimes the 3 man team is ok but Rogan and Smith step on eachother too much. DC is the guy to have as the third guy, he’s much more laid back and its easier him to fit in with two other commentators.

Jimmy wasn't as bad as I thought he would be beside Rogan, but I agree that DC is much better and has a better rapport...although I don't think three voices are a good idea in general.

When you have such an outspoken color commentator as Rogan the only solution is to have him with either just one play-by-play guy or remove him all together and have two moderate color commentators and one play-by-play in more of a showtime format; as in Miletich/Shamrock/Ranallo.

For what it's worth I think Rogan is the weak link. Jimmy and Anik would have had a better balance. Jimmy with the technical info and Anik with the superficial color bs.

I actually thought they worked well together and Anik seemed like a 3rd wheel. I think the situation would work best by Anik handling the mundane "announcing" work between fights and letting Rogan and Smith take over the commentary during the fights.

Rogan works best with DC. Robo Anik can be there too, not that he really matters other than to interject sponsor shit and pointless stats.

Smith and Rogan didn't match up how I thought they would. Underwhelming for sure, but I care more about the fights than who is talking so not too much of a letdown.

Jimmy fuckin sucks. He has some knowledge which is great, but I don’t like getting color commentary from 2 guys who have no experience inside the cage. 1 is plenty for me. But his voice and lack of enthusiasm for the fights makes me not care for him at all (tbh, I thought he was ok in Bellator and think he’d be ok with just him and Anik, or Anik him and Dom)

Smith had 6 pro fights

Bring in Handy Couture. Tell Dana to go fuck himself. Dana has too much power to hire and fire, Randy as a commentator would destroy.

Learn something new everyday, still think he isn’t a good fit with that team.

He’d be better off trying to do the overseas cards like Dan Hardy does.

Honesty, I think Gooden and Hardy are my fav team in the booth

In fact he's more qualified to talk about MMA than Rogan is because Rogan has never fought MMA in his life.

that was an awful idea two guys with too much hyperbole brahness.

three is a weird dynamic. give me one mic geek and one pro fighter or coach

Huh. Totally disagree. I loved the three of them together. I hope they do it again.

yeah I addressed it in post where someone else said same thing, guess I never bothered to really look into his life too much. I was never big on him, I think he does ok, like I said, he has knowledge of techniques and such but I just don't find him very interesting. Especially in a 3 man duo. I think he'd be better like Hardy does with Gooden.
