Media Jimi Manuwa was not impressed with UFC Vegas 31 main event

Is this the dude that was talking about going to boxing because nobody in mma could stand with him and the next day he got knocked the fuck out.

He can have that opinion.
But he is only saying this to try to promote himself.
'look at me. At least I put everything on the line and wanted to make it excited for the fans.'

This is just another way of trying to justify his losses.
'I could have played it safe and won. I didn't because i want the fans to give what they want.'

These are the jokers of mma. An after the fact excuse for their losses and try to portray themselves as winners.
This is Conrat behaviour. Every loss will be turned into a 'win' in some sort of other way.
In reality they are just a bunch of losers with a low fight IQ who don't know how to win.

I know someone who met him he was with a few other guys and they basically mocked him and said they will knock him out if he doesn't leave. Maybe it was a joke but he said it wasn't. Might be that he acts tough when he's with his guys

Yeah that's really shitty behaviour. When I met him it was at an event the UFC was paying him to be at to hang out with UFC fan club (embarrassingly called the UFC Fight Club lol) members (plus said fan club members could bring a guest).

If your buddy's story is true that's a far better experience to judge him by. If that's true I'd feel pretty pleased watching him get KO'd all those times haha.

He's 9-1 in the LW division and on an 8 fight win streak with five finishes in the UFC, he'd have hype either way.
I agree to an extent, but there are people talking him up and saying that he’s ready for a title shot now, and that’s a lot more hype than just a random fighter with a bunch of wins over unranked opponents would normally have.

He seems like a good sportsman and I’m a fan of both him and Khabib, so I hope he does well. I just don’t think he deserves to be in the title conversation just yet, especially when — as Manuwa pointed out — that wasn’t exactly a statement-making, main-event performance.

I thought the win over Moises was a statement making performance, he tapped a fairly high level grappler and dominated him on the ground for long stretches of the fight.
