Economy Jim Beam Kentucky based distillery closing down for a year.

There is no possible way they can be caught so far off guard by a general lowering in demand that they'd need to shut down production at it's main distillery for a year.

This is a reaction to something they couldn't have foreseen. I'm fairly sure they produced the amount they produced expecting it to sell, I don't think they were just making an enormous excess based on hope and crossed fingers.

Demand went up during covid. They kept producing like the trend would continue, whiskey and bourbon sales are down in the US as well as exports.

Yeah, sometimes unexpected shit happens.

These are the same dorks who root for north korea and ms13 whenever their "team" isn’t in charge.

Canada was less than 1% of bourbon sales to begin with, but for some reason it makes them feel better to pretend it's decreased Canada sales that has shot Jim Beam into bankruptcy, and not that they're taking a year off at one distillery because they're sitting on 5 years worth of barrels, and are reassigning those employees to bottling and warehousing.

Nobody got laid off, and the parent company isn't even American. Not exactly the crisis they were hoping for.
Which dorks rooting for NK?
